1. Ylona Garcia Drops New Single 'Don't Go Changing'
When we first heard Ylona Garcia's single "Don't Go Changing," we were stunned. Her voice is truly out of this world, and after trying (and failing) to hit the notes she does, we're even more impressed with the singer. In an exclusive interview with Sweety High, Ylona explained, "This song to me means being mentally and emotionally at peace with everything that has happened. Though I didn't write 'Don't Go Changing,' I definitely have a strong connection to it due to a certain situation that had occurred in the past."
2. Jeremy Zucker Teases New Album With 'Therapist'
Jeremy Zucker's sophomore album, Crusher, will officially be released on Oct. 1, but in the meantime, he provided us with an incredible single. "Therapist" just might be our favorite song of his ever, and that's saying something! Featuring beautiful vocals and a dreamy beat, this song is honestly our own version of therapy. The chorus is everything and we can't get over how handsome he looks in the music video. In a press release, Jeremy shared, "'Therapist' is about carrying the burden of someone else's problems."
3. Iggy Azalea Stuns With New Editions to Deluxe Album, The End of an Era
When Iggy Azalea's The End of an Era was released last month, we had the whole album on repeat. Featuring songs like "Is That Right" and "Emo Club Anthem," the OG album is full of content we're obsessed with. So when word came out that she was dropping two new tracks as part of the deluxe version of the album, we were ecstatic! "N.Y.E." and "Posh Spice" are two songs everyone needs to stream ASAP! "I really enjoyed this entire process," Iggy explained in a press release. "At the beginning of any and every project, I have a long period of reflection, so it was even more fun to unpack all my favorite music videos and songs in a more in-depth way."
4. Rapper Iann Dior Tops the Charts With 'V12' Feat. Lil Uzi Vert
At just 22-years-old, rapper Iann Dior is already topping the charts. With his first appearance at the VMAs this past weekend, we're sure we're going to see a lot more of him. His latest single, "V12," features Lil Uzi Vert, and we're in love. It's a total banger and already made it to number four on Spotify's New Music Friday. "V12" is the perfect song to blare while you're in the car or getting ready with friends for a night out.
5. K-Pop Star Wonho Drops Mini-Album Blue Letter
Wonho is a true artist, and his latest mini-album, Blue Letter, is the perfect example of it. He compares being in isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic to the blue expanse of the ocean in his songs, and boy did we get chills! The title track, "Blue," is definitely our favorite of the bunch, not only because of the message but because of the amazing beat. This star is going places.
6. Lil Nas X Wows Fans With New Album Montero
Lil Nas X finally dropped his long-awaited album, Montero, and we couldn't be more excited. Featuring singles we've come to know and love like "Industry Baby" and "Sun Goes Down," this is an album we think fans of the singer-songwriter will stream repeatedly. And while we won't even get into the whole "baby shower" drama he unveiled on YouTube, we will say we're living for his song with Miley Cyrus, "Am I Dreaming." It's such a different and unique song for him and paired with Miley's beautiful, soaring vocals, it's probably our favorite on the album.
7. Country Artist Carly Pearce Unveils New Album 29: Written In Stone
If you're not familiar with country star Carly Pearce, we're about to rock your world. With catchy songs, incredible style and a personality you can't help but love, Carly is on her way to major stardom. Her latest album, 29: Written In Stone, was just released, and we are amazed. The album features some brilliant songs, but our favorite has to be "Never Wanted To Be That Girl," featuring Ashley McBryde. "Nobody ever thinks it will happen to them," Carly shared in a press release about "Never Wanted To Be That Girl." "You never see it coming, but there's always an explanation. You know, who'd ever want to think that way about someone they love. Why would you? And so, that's where this song started: the things you don't see, because you'd never look."
8. Sam Smith and Summer Walker Team Up for New Single 'You Will Be Found'
We're pretty sure Sam Smith could release a song that's just them breathing and we'd enjoy it, so it comes as no surprise we're absolutely smitten with their latest single "You Will Be Found," featuring Summer Walker. As part of the upcoming film Dear Evan Hansen, this song is an original featured in the movie. If the song is any indication of how the film is going to be, we'd say it's going to be a total tearjerker.
9. Jonas Brothers Reveal New Single 'Who's In Your Head'
If you didn't know, the Jonas Brothers are currently on tour, so we have no idea how they found the time to release their latest single, "Who's In Your Head." Of course, now that it's here, we're going to be looking forward to hearing it played very loud at every concert date.
10. G-Eazy Teams Up With Demi Lovato in New Single and Music Video for 'Breakdown'
Is there anyone sexier than G-Eazy? We think not! And when his vocals are paired with none other than Demi Lovato's, the end result is pure fire. The two just released "Breakdown" along with a music video, and we can't seem to get enough. The single comes before the release of G-Eazy's fourth studio album, These Things Happen Too, and we can only imagine how stellar it's going to be. Blast "Breakdown" the next time you're in the car—you won't regret it!
