These Are the Nail Trends You Need to Be Rocking Right Now According to a Nail Guru

Looking to up your mani game but not sure what shade of polish or nail art design you should sport? We have the solution.

We chatted with Sigourney Nuñez, licensed nail technician and Associate Editor of Nails Magazine, to give us the lowdown on what's trending in the world of manicures.

Scroll below to see three unique ways to ensure your mani is on point.

Rich Purple Shades

For a fun and flirty fall look, Sigourney suggests a deep and rich purple. But if you want something more on-trend, she recommends a metallic gunmetal or a rose gold.

Dotticure Designs

"The easiest design a nail art beginner can try is a dotticure (a nail design featuring dots)," Sigourney said, adding that you can even use items you have laying around in your room to create the look. "Try using the bubble end of a bobby pin or even a pencil eraser to play with shapes and sizes."

Holographic Effects

What's Sigourney's current obsession you ask? Holographic shades. "Anything that has very fine micro-shimmer glitters and gives off a rainbow-like effect when you look at it from different angles and lighting is good in my book," she said.
