9 Netflix Original Shows Airing a Second Season This Year

Could you imagine a life without Netflix?

We sure hope we never have to make that a reality. Netflix has been our saving grace during this past year, and boy did they provide us with some incredible content. After all, who could ever forget Tiger King? Sorry, Joe Exotic isn't making a comeback this year, but there are some other shows coming back for a second season.

Want to see if your favorite made the list? Keep reading to see which nine Netflix original shows are airing a second season this year!

Outer Banks

Season one of Outer Banks aired last year in April, so fans had high hopes of seeing it this month. Unfortunately, that probably isn't happening. And while there's no specific release date just yet, we're thinking it could be any day now. Crossing our fingers we get to see the band of Pogues and Kooks soon!

The Circle

The U.S. version of The Circle will be airing on April 14. We don't know about you, but we have never been so excited to see a reality show in our lives. If you're not familiar with the show, it's basically all about social media and the power it holds over us. And yes, it's super easy to binge!

Warrior Nun

Warrior Nun aired back in July of 2020, and while it's a possibility it's coming back for a season this July, we can't be certain. What we do know is that a second season is definitely coming our way this year. Ava Silva is coming back better and stronger than ever, and we can't wait.

Raising Dion

Season one of Raising Dion aired all the way back in December of 2019. Thanks to COVID, production on a second season was halted. They finally picked back up January of this year and are still filming, so we don't think we'll be seeing Dion on the big screen any time soon—but we're hoping we will by the end of the year.

Emily In Paris

Emily In Paris took the world by storm last October, and we're so excited to see where Emily takes us in season two. Filming just began, so it's going to take a while to wrap things up. We're thinking the second season will be available on Netflix by the end of the year—if not early 2022. We can't wait to see what outfits the show has in store for us this time around.

Never Have I Ever

Last April, Never Have I Ever streamed on Netflix, and we were instantly hooked. This hilarious comedy-drama follows our favorite girl, Devi, and we think she's going to get into even more shenanigans in season two. We're betting Netflix is going to announce an official date any day now.

The Witcher

Henry Cavill plays Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher, and we're looking forward to seeing his character on the screen again in season two. All of our favorites will be returning, but sadly, it likely won't be until the end of 2021. Anyone else planning on re-watching their favorite monster hunter?

Sweet Magnolias

Sometimes you just need a soapy TV show to get your mind off of things—and that's exactly what Sweet Magnolias does for us! The first season aired last May, so we're thinking it will come back for a season two in the summer. We're just dying to know where all of our favorite characters ended up.

Love Is Blind

Love Is Blind takes us back to the beginning of quarantine. Remember when we thought life was going to get back to normal by summer? Ha! Season one was absolutely wild, and we're hoping season two has just as many personalities for us to watch, root for and cringe over. It came out in February of 2020, so we're sure it will make a reappearance sometime soon.
