11 Albums We’re Most Looking Forward to Hearing In 2020

With each new year, comes new obsessions… especially when it comes to music.

Our fave artists never cease to amaze us—and it appears 2020 will be no exception. Whether they're tearjerkers or dance hits, we look forward to hearing the latest lyrics and songs from these talented singers and musicians.

Curious whose upcoming releases are on our radar this year? Keep reading for the 11 albums we're most looking forward to hearing in 2020 (in no particular order):

1. Rihanna

TBA

RiRi fans are justifiably losing their minds. The end of 2019 was thought to be the release date for Rihanna's new album, but that was unfortunately not the case. When 2020 rolled around, she even trolled her fans in an Instagram post that read: "Verified update: me listening to R9 by myself and refusing to release it." Here's to hoping she was just teasing us all and will drop the album ASAP!

2. Halsey

Manic: Jan. 17

We've already been blessed with four singles from the album, and if they're anything like "Without Me" or "Graveyard," we're in for quite the treat. Halsey is majorly artistic, and not just in music. She also painted a self-portrait that took her seven hours to complete, which will also double as the album's cover. Talk about a girl who can do it all!

3. Justin Bieber

Forever: Sometime in March

While we have a few more months before Justin Bieber releases his latest album, we'll just be sitting here listening to all his previous songs, getting pumped for what's to come. His new tour begins in May, so we're assuming the record will be released some point before then (rumored to be March). In the meantime, we'll be streaming his latest single "Yummy" on repeat.

4. Cardi B.

Tiger Woods: TBA

She promised us controversial, and boy did we get that. The album hasn't even dropped and people are already discussing why Cardi would choose to use the pro golfer's name as the (rumored) title. Whether it's meant to be a joke, a play on words or something else entirely, we'll find out soon! Cardi B. never fails to amaze us, and we're looking forward to her sophomore album.

5. Selena Gomez

Rare: Jan. 10

Selena already has plenty of hype surrounding the release of her first album since 2015. She released two powerful back-to-back singles about heartbreak and rejuvenation, so fans can only imagine what else she'll share on her latest when the time comes this Friday!

6. Niall Horan

TBA

Rumored to be released sometime between Jan. and March, Niall Horan's sophomore album is just on the horizon. We've been promised singles, a world tour and we're sure some stellar music videos to go along with it all. The former One Directioner still has a soft spot in our hearts, and we don't plan on dropping him off our radar any time soon.

7. Dua Lipa

Future Nostalgia: TBA

"Don't Start Now," the first single released from Dua Lipa's upcoming album, is all sorts of amazing. It's one of those jams that can take you from a bad mood to the life of the party. The disco-esque vibes make us excited for what's to come on the rest of the album. Will it keep to that theme or go in a completely different direction? Only time will tell!

8. Kesha

High Road: Jan. 31

Not only did Kesha just release her epic collab with Hipdot, but she's also set to drop her long-awaited latest album later this month. She's taking it back to her beginning days and focusing primarily on pop songs. Think "TiK ToK," updated. We're counting down the days till we can finally bask in all the glory that is Kesha!

9. The 1975

Notes on a Conditional Form: Feb. 21

If Matty Healy isn't one of your celeb crushes, you obviously don't know who he is. Lead singer of The 1975, Matty is a living, breathing lyrical genius. Light some candles, lay down and listen to the band by yourself to get the full experience. Take in the lyrics (however emo they may be) and let your tears flow freely. We're sure this newest album will be no different from their past successes.

10. Miley Cyrus

She Is Miley Cyrus: TBA

Our girl Miley Cyrus has been through quite the ringer lately. From her split with husband Liam Hemsworth, to her myriad of adventures in the dating world, she's now due to release an album sometime this year. It's sure to be full of soulful ballads, emotions about her exes and everything else she's experienced lately.

11. BTS

Map of the Soul: Feb. 21

Despite the break from the spotlight the popular group took last year, BTS has somehow found the time to release a new album in Feb. Their past albums have encompassed the true joy of life, accepting others and pure happiness. We're convinced this next album will be no different.
