1. Laci Kaye Booth Takes a Look at Her Roots With 'Daddy's Mugshot'
Ahead of her exciting Grand Ole Opry debut tomorrow, March 29, American Idol alum Laci Kaye Booth just released her first new music since she released her debut album last year. The song is called "Daddy's Mugshot," a potent and clever reflection on the legacy of her father, country artist Jody Booth, and the good, the bad and the ugly of what it means to be her father's daughter.
"I wrote this song after I was scrolling on Facebook and saw my dad's mugshot going around," Laci Kaye wrote in a press release. "I started writing about him, my life, the curse passed down to me and trying to 'make it' in Nashville."

2. Chloe Moriondo Goes on a Journey of Self-Discover in New Album, oyster
Indie-pop phenomenon Chloe Moriondo knows very well that your early 20s are rarely all sunshine and rainbows, and her personal journey comes to the forefront in her latest album, oyster. Consisting of 13 tracks—including fan-favorite singles "shoreline," "hate it" and "abyss"—the album gets its name from Chloe likening her heart to a pearl, and the world to the oyster. Her heart is precious, but hard to get, and once you have it, you better be careful with it. These songs push the boundaries of pop between high-energy hyper-pop tracks, dazzling ballads and pop-punk edge, with Chloe going through the wringer but coming out tougher and wiser on the other side.
3. Elliot James Reay Takes Us Back in Time With 'Daydreaming'
If you love the nostalgic sounds of artists like Stephen Sanchez, prepare to find your new favorite artist in Elliot James Reay. The rising English singer-songwriter recently won the Road to Memphis international song contest with "I Think They Call This Love," a viral track that feels plucked right out of the rock 'n roll era of the '50s, and he's keeping the magic going with new track "Daydreaming." It's only his third release ever, but with its soaring, yearning sound, it's destined to be yet another hit.
4. Tanner Adell Pays Tribute to the Mother She Never Met With 'Going Blonde'
Country-pop sensation Tanner Adell has us in tears with her inspiring and emotional new single, "Going Blonde." It's a vulnerable and rich retelling of her own adoption story. Originally from Kentucky, but raised in Southern California with her adopted family, Tanner eventually took a DNA test that reconnected her with her biological brother and the story of the mother she never met. Tragically, her mother had passed away, but she was able to look at old photos, noting that her mom's blonde hair and blue eyes reminded her of Dolly Parton. Tanner dove further into the country superstar's discography and fell in love with her song, "Dumb Blonde." In a way, it made her feel connected to her mom—and today, Tanner keeps her hair blonde as a tribute to the mom.
"Being blonde has been something that's been a major part of my identity," Tanner shared in a press release. "But seeing that picture of my mom, and with the connection through Dolly Parton, it made me feel like I had a piece of my mom for the first time. It was a whole new meaning for me, like 'This is a way that I'm going to keep her close.' Blonde has this connotation that's sexy and outgoing—and a little bit ditsy, but I felt like I could take that and turn it into something more meaningful. I'm really putting my heart out there to be completely examined. It's been five years since my brother found me. I think I'm still learning things and I'm definitely still grieving. But I'm ready to release it as a form of my own therapy."

5. Lucy Dacus Falls Hard in Forever Is a Feeling
Lucy Dacus's fourth album Forever Is a Feeling tells a powerful story of love, made even more compelling with the knowledge that her love is for fellow Boygenius bandmate Julien Baker. Featuring singles "Ankles" and "Best Guess," the 13-track album takes a more tripped back approach, using orchestral touches to add further beauty to her intimate storytelling as she sings of the passion, angst and conflict that come as a package deal with falling deeply in love. It's equally gorgeous, affecting and witty, and we simply cannot stop listening to her live version of "Bullseye" performed with Hozier at The National Gallery of Ireland.
6. Wallows Delivers Exactly What They Promised With More EP
Rock band Wallows have been on a roll since the release of their third album, Model, last year, and with their new EP, More, they deliver exactly what they've promised. While the EP's seven tracks were developed during their studio sessions for Model, they manage to have a different flavor from the album that preceded it. It's a showcase of their versatility and growth that these songs didn't feel like extras or bonuses, but songs that deserved their own space to thrive.
"It's not so much a secret that our new EP More is comprised of more songs from the sessions in which we recorded our third album, Model, but the songs on that album and these songs really took on totally different lives of their own, and we wanted to make sure we treated and honored these songs as such," the band explained in a press release. "No deluxe; a proper release that exists by itself. We've been really proud of these songs for a long time now. They feel like inspired, continued growth for us, and we're excited to finally be giving them their time to shine."

9. Niall Horan Revisits
Heartbreak Weather With a 5 Year Anniversary Edition
We don't know where the time has gone, but we're happy to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Niall Horan's sophomore album Heartbreak Weather with him. The album brought us so much comfort when it originally released in March of 2020, right as the pandemic was brewing and lockdowns were going into place. Plenty of disappointments, including Niall's canceled tour, also came along with it, and it's fascinating to look back new and revisit the original album, plus its eight bonus tracks. This includes studio versions of "Dress" and "Nothing," live Royal Albert Hall recordings of "Small Talk" and "Dear Patience," a live recording of "Put a Little Love on Me," a live studio version of "No Judgment" and stripped versions of "Nice to Meet Ya" and "Black and White."
"Heartbreak Weather is nearly a concept album," Niall shared in 2020. "I wanted to write these songs from the start of a relationship through to the end—and from different sides—instead of every song being quite sad and all about me. Because when you go through a breakup, it's not sad all the time."
10. Ariana Grande Celebrates One Year of eternal sunshine With Deluxe brighter days ahead Edition
2024's eternal sunshine felt like Ariana Grande's magnum opus, embracing vulnerable, optimism in spite of pain and innovation to create something that showcased Ariana's vast range as both a vocalist and songwriter. Perhaps it was the magic of Wicked that allowed us to see Ariana's true potential and skill even more clearly, and in expanding the story of the original album, she's made it even more powerful and enchanting. The deluxe edition adds six new tracks to the original 13, consisting of a new intro plus "twilight zone," "warm," "dandelion," "past life" and "Hampstead," further processing her heartache. The songs are rich, relatable and endlessly relistenable, bouncing between playful pop and evocative R&B, even if her healing process isn't quite complete.
