Couldn’t Make It to New York Comic Con 2016? Here’s Everything You Need to Know
Comic Con is the place to be for updates on all things related to comic and geek culture.
Not all of us are lucky enough to attend New York Comic Con in person, so if you happened to miss the big weekend, here's what you need to know.
Nickelodeon debuted a brand new trailer for Legends of the Hidden Temple starring Jet Jurgensmeyer, Isabela Moner and Colin Critchley. The film turns the classic '90s game show into a thrilling adventure movie that premieres next month.
At long last, NYCC revealed the first trailer for Class, the Doctor Who spinoff we've been eagerly anticipating. It follows the lives of high school students and staff at Coal Hill Academy, where the first-ever episode of Doctor Who took place in 1963, and where the Doctor's most recent companion, Clara Oswald, was a teacher. It appears that the Doctor will pop in occasionally as well. The first episode airs Oct. 22 on BBC America and I, for one, will be tuning in.
But that's not the only exciting Doctor Who news to come out of Comic Con. Exactly one year after the last episode of Doctor Who aired, a new one called "The Return of Doctor Mysterio" will grace our TV screens on Dec. 25. It will feature the return of Peter Capaldi as the 12th Doctor, plus a new character called Doctor Mysterio, played by Justin Chatwin. What's better than a Doctor Who Christmas special?
This Christmas, the Doctor joins forces with a superhero, played by @Justingchatwin, in…

If you need more sci-fi in your life, Freeform's upcoming show Beyond will be right up your alley. The show stars Burkely Duffield as Holden, a guy who wakes up from a 12-year coma to discover he has supernatural powers, and that someone's out to get him. Don't miss it when it airs Jan. 2.
At long last, America Chavez, aka Miss America, is getting her own Marvel comic books. She was born in an alternate dimension before coming to our dimension to become a crime-fighting superhero.
ABC's Agent Carter ended far too soon, but Peggy isn't done kicking butt onscreen. A Comic Con announcement revealed that Haley Atwell will reprise the role of Peggy Carter (in animated form) on Marvel's Avengers: Secret Wars on Disney XD. I personally hope it's just the next step in getting Peggy back on TV for good.
The first Power Rangers trailer is upon us, and it's glorious. Even if you never saw any of the original show, this movie deserves a spot on your watch list. Can't wait to see our girl Becky G. as Trini.
In honor of the 75th anniversary of Wonder Woman, DC unveiled these fabulous Wonder Woman Forever Stamps. They're the only stamps I'll ever need again.
Fans were also gifted with an all-new trailer for Marvel's Doctor Strange featuring some psychedelic backwards audio and never-before-seen footage. Even if you're not obsessed with Benedict Cumberbatch, this movie definitely looks worth checking out when it arrives in theaters on Nov. 4.
Not only did NYCC reveal the first footage from the upcoming Marvel release Iron First, debuting March 17 on Netflix, but it also teased the upcoming show The Defenders, bringing Marvel heroes Iron Fist, Daredevil, Punisher, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage into one amazing show. Even better, the show's big villain will be portrayed by Sigourney Weaver, famous for being a butt-kicking lady icon for her Alien movie roles.
How has it taken this long to get an X-Men spinoff on TV? A new show called Legion will follow some mutants we haven't seen on the big screen before, and will hopefully feature some of the characters we know and love from former X-Men movies. It airs sometime next year on FX, so stay tuned.
And Comic Con wouldn't be Comic Con without stunning cosplays.
Gaze in wonder as this Marvel trio dressed as Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Riri Williams (aka Ironheart).
This transforming Mystique cosplay is next-level.
Still creeped out by Majora's Mask, but this Skull Kid cosplay is beyond perfect.
Cosplay Groot hugging Cosplay Star-Lord.
