New York Fashion Week Street Style: Every Look You Need to See
New York Fashion Week is a great source of inspiration, but who can really pull off the crazy outfits walking down the runway? Also, let's not forget sky-high prices.
Street fashion is where it's at. This term describes when photographers literally take to the streets to capture the interesting personalities heading into the shows. Instead of wearing runway looks, people use their own clothes in unexpected ways to create iconic outfits. Read on to find the best looks.

Sports Bras As High Fashion
We all have our favorite sports bra, tucked away neatly between our yoga pants and workout tees…. and that's where we plan for it to stay.
The same can't be said for these supermodels outside of a show during New York Fashion Week. The duo decided to wear a piece of clothing usually reserved for a sweat session out in full daylight. The ladies opted for '90s labels and showed off logos as best they could.
Concert Tees, Cut-Offs and Bold Red Accessories

Leave it to blogger Valentina Ferragni to perfect a casual look. Although we are sure she's taking style tips from her older sis (popular blogger Chiara Ferragni aka The Blonde Salad), she made this outfit all her own. She paired an old concert tee with dark cut-offs and then layered on bold, red accessories to finish off her look.
This outfit is something we can easily recreate with pieces that already exist in our closet. Swap out the red for any other bold-colored accessory combo you may have in your arsenal.
Black and White Perfection
Who knew black and white outfits could be taken to such great heights? Here we see three friends casually roaming New York streets looking beyond fabulous. One of the ladies opted for a more casual style in a denim jacket with patches.
Simply sew on your favorite patches to a plain denim jacket. Long vests and cropped tops are two of the best trends from last season. These trends came together to make fashion magic when the supermodel far right layered those two items. You are already bound to have both in your closet, why not give it a go? We would've never thought to put these outfits together but alas—it works. And we can't wait to try them ourselves.
Denim on Denim
Queen of fashion week, Kylie Jenner never disappoints, even when she's wearing denim on denim. We haven't seen a "Canadian tuxedo" sizzle quite like this. The youngest in the Kardashian clan wore a bedazzled denim top with equally sparkly denim cut offs. The result is a high-fashion ensemble that has us swooning.
We can't wait to DIY the look by adding on sparkling beads and stones to a plain denim shirt. Trust that we will do the same with those old cut-offs that we already own.
Next time you are in a style rut, take inspiration from street style as most of these outfits will make can be recreated. If you need a place to start, check out THESE amazing DIY hat instructions.
