Artist: Noella Nix

New single: "Faded"

What it means to Noella: "Faded is a song about coping with a breakup and seeing the positive rather than the negatives. It's okay to be alone, to love yourself and focus on you. The chorus is a celebration of accepting that it's over and moving on."

Biggest influences: "I have so many people that I look up to in music. But if I had to name one, it would be Mariah Carey. I grew up listening to her, memorizing every single song. As I grew older, I learned to really appreciate her as one of the best female artists of all time. I'm sure you can hear some influences of hers in my music that has subconsciously stuck with me. Another is Lady Gaga. She is just incredible. Her connection with her fans and all that she has done for the LGBTQ community is amazing. I really look up to her as such a powerful artist of our generation."

Dream venue: "Hollywood Forever Cemetery, where Lana Del Rey played once. I love intimate places that have a story about them. The photos from her gigs there are incredible."

Dream duet: "I'd love to do a duet with Frank Ocean. I feel like there is something so special and powerful about a male and female artist singing together, so there is a long list!"

Fave songs: " 'Saint Lo' by Washington. She's Aussie and it's an incredible song. 'Issues' by Julia Michaels. I love the simplicity of this song. 'Green Light' by Lorde. It's my fave Lorde song so far."

Dream accomplishment: "I want to share my music with people around the world and grow my audience. I hope to inspire and motivate people to be the best versions of themselves and to help them realize that anything they dream of can be possible. I'd love to find a producer who has the same vision as me and eventually release an album, tour and work with some people that I've dreamt of working with."
