The Sweet Life: I Went to Nordstrom’s BP. x Claudia Sulewski Launch Party
At Sweety High, we're fortunate enough to get invited to a lot of private events in beauty, fashion, food and entertainment. And who better to take behind the scenes with us than our readers? The Sweet Life gives you VIP access to some of our favorite celebrations, even if you weren't on the list!
When you get invited to an event hosted by Nordstrom, you drop all other commitments and go.
Last night, Nordstrom-owned Brass Plum (BP.) celebrated its latest influencer collaboration with none other than Claudia Sulewski. Not only is Claudia fun to stalk follow on Instagram, but after chatting with her, I was happy to learn that she was down-to-earth and incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with such an amazing company.
She told me that "the entire process has been so creatively fulfilling and rewarding. It's hard not to have the best time when you're collaborating with such a dream retailer."
Before even seeing the collection, I knew the collab wasn't going to disappoint. After all, the girl's got style! The few sneak peeks I did see on Claudia's social media were full of trendy pieces and tailored for the ultimate Los Angeles cool girl.
At last night's extravaganza, held in the prestigious Mount Olympus section of the Hollywood Hills, I was promptly greeted and given a quick tour of the grounds.
From snow cone machines, to mini golf to giant jenga, there were plenty of photo opps and activities to enjoy.

Upon scoping out the crowd, I was completely fan-girling when I saw Rebecca Black (hello, it's Friday). Other Insta-famous celebs included Vale Genta, Cammie Scott and Maddi Bragg.
Once I got over myself, I did what any girl would do—searched for food. I looked like a hunter stalking its prey, making my way through halls and rooms until I finally found the safe haven. Lavish tables set up with rainbow crudités, an all-you-can-eat Mexican taco-making station and guacamole-galore were up for the taking.

After filling my plate to the brim and going back for seconds, I was thoroughly satisfied. Nice work, Nordstrom!
Now, onto the good stuff—the collection itself. Since I was able to see the collection firsthand, I can wholeheartedly say the pieces are well-thought out, made with great materials, and, obviously, are fashion-forward. Anyone who likes influencer-style fashion, statement pieces and bright colors will fall for the line.
As for Claudia's fave pieces? "I'm in love with our star pattern, and obsessed with the Faux Patent Leather Backpack," she says. "That bad boy also turns into a crossbody purse!"

When it comes to fashion itself, "I'm constantly inspired by street style pictures that showcase the perfect, 'I'm not trying, but we all know this outfit is bomb' ensemble," Claudia explains. "Bella Hadid takes the cake for street style queen."
