Here’s the Song on Olivia Rodrigo’s SOUR That Best Represents You, Based on Your Zodiac Sign
It's been a month since the release of Olivia Rodrigo's SOUR, and we are still not over it.
We don't believe an album has ever encapsulated the rawness of young heartbreak quite like SOUR's 11 tracks. If you've ever been through a rough breakup, then we know that at least one of these songs speaks directly to your soul.
But which song off the album describes you the very best? Scroll down to your zodiac sign below to find out.
Aries (March 21 – April 19): 'deja vu'
Aries is the action-oriented first sign of the zodiac, just like Olivia was first to date the person described in detail in "deja vu." Aries are brave trendsetters who are willing to take a leap before anyone else, and they're also the first to act—so it makes sense that the car rides in Malibu, sharing ice cream and watching Glee reruns from the song would be something they did first, only to be repeated later in an attempt to recapture that magic. Aries is also a proud, passionate sign, and "deja vu" is one of the least angst-ridden tracks on SOUR.
Taurus (April 20 – May 20): 'jealousy, jealousy'
Taurus may be the most dependable sign of the zodiac, but they're also known for their tendency to get possessive and jealous, which is why "jealousy, jealousy" might be the anthem of some Tauruses. Not only does Taurus tend to latch onto people, refusing to let them go, but they're also a sign that enjoys fine things and tends to covet what others have when they can't have them. Until they see the power within themselves, they can sometimes wish they were someone else, wishing for more and more.
Gemini (May 21 – June 20): '1 step forward, 3 steps back'
Geminis are known for being outgoing and friendly, as well as for their multifaceted personalities, and we think "1 step forward, 3 steps back" captures that duality well. One moment, they can be positive and upbeat, but one bad interaction can leave them doubting themselves and wondering where they went wrong. Geminis are social creatures who sometimes give too much power to the people in their lives, just like Olivia does in this song.
Cancer (June 21 – July 22): 'good 4 u'
Cancers may have a reputation for being moody and overly emotional, but in general, they've earned every right to feel as strongly as they do—and "good 4 u" might be the perfect track to capture those powerful emotions. They often try to keep their sensitivity bottled up inside, which backfires and unleashes at the wrong moments. Many Cancers are familiar with crying on the bathroom floor and feeling even worse when the person who broke their heart doesn't feel the same way. We definitely feel for them.
Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22): 'happier'
Leo is a confident and bold sign who can be really good at making things all about them. "happier" is just the right song for Leo because it's about just that—being happy for your ex, but only up to a limit, and dearly hoping they're not quite as satisfied and content with their new relationship as they were with you. After all, who could be better than sunshiny Leo?
Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sep. 22): 'favorite crime'
No sign is recognized more for their perfectionism and desire to excel than Virgo, and that's also true of their relationships. They've been known to do anything they can to make doomed relationships work, often to the detriment to their own happiness and sense of agency. That's why "favorite crime" will be so relatable to so many Virgos. We hope they can learn to move on and stop being an accomplice to their own unhappiness.
Libra (Sep. 23 – Oct. 22): 'enough for you'
If there's any sign that's willing to put aside their own wants and needs for the happiness of others, it's Libra, and unfortunately, that's precisely what "enough for you" is all about. In relationships, they can lose themselves entirely, just wanting to please their partner without considering what they require out of the relationship. This song might just teach them to stand up for themselves in their relationships.
Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21): 'brutal'
"brutal"'s powerful, angry rock sound is enough to make it perfect for mysterious Scorpios, but the lyrics somehow make the song an even better fit for the sign. Scorpios are known for their tendency to be closed off from others and to keep to themselves, having very few close and trusted friends to share their anxieties and fears with, and this song fits them to a T.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21): 'traitor'
Sagittarius may be adventurous and unable to stand still, but they're still one of the most loyal signs of the zodiac, which is why the type of betrayal described in "traitor" strikes them right at the core. They put a lot into their relationships, and are easily hurt when they don't receive the same in return. They're also a sign that compares themselves often to others, usually to propel themselves forward to greatness—but sometimes in a way that damages their own happiness.
Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19): 'drivers license'
Capricorn is the most traditional sign of the zodiac, so it makes sense that they'd be all about Olivia's original SOUR anthem, "drivers license." Capricorns are known for their smarts, diligence and ability to overthink things, and the types of thoughts running through Olivia's head in "drivers license" sound like just the type of thing they'd ruminate about. Plus, with Capricorn being an ambitious and practical sign, of course it makes sense that they'd get their driver's license as early as humanly possible.
Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18): 'deja vu'
That's right—SOUR only has 11 tracks so there has to be a repeat somewhere, and it really only made sense for it to be "deja vu." As the most original and rebellious sign of the zodiac, Aquarians are just the type of people to do something memorable and unique with their S.O., only to have those ideas recycled with someone new post-breakup. That's just what you get for being one-of-a-kind.
Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20): 'hope ur ok'
Pisces are dreamy, intuitive and creative, and they care very deeply about the people in their lives, which is why "hope ur ok"—the one song on the album about something other than a broken heart—is so appropriate for them. It's so like Pisces to be thinking about others before themselves, and get wrapped up in the lives of others they're no longer in touch with, just hoping that they're alright. Olivia is also a Pisces herself, so maybe that's why she thought this would be the perfect way to end the album.
