Step Up Your Kitchen Game With Our Place

I make dinner at least four night a week, so I think it's safe to say I spend a good amount of time in the kitchen—and that's not even including breakfast and lunch.

Typical items on my menu include steak, fried chicken (in the air fryer of course), salads, stir fry, potatoes any and every way, cheesy pasta and more. However, one thing I've been missing in my kitchen is high-quality cooking aids. The knives I have are dull, my cutting board is super old and my go-to pan is rusted.

So, when the team over at Our Place reached out and asked if I'd be interested in testing out some of their products, I was more than happy to oblige. They sent over a set of their knives and a cutting board, and literally right when I got it in the mail, I got to work and started using them to make some killer food! Below, you'll find my full review of the products from Our Place—psst, they're totally worth it.

The Brand

Our Place is undoubtedly known for their best-selling Always Pan ($145). Although I've personally never had one, I've heard some pretty amazing things. It replaces the eight traditional pieces of cookware, working as a frying pan, saute pan, steamer, skillet, saucier, saucepan, non-stick pan and more.

Plus, it comes in some stunning colors. I'm personally drawn to "terracotta"—it's timeless and so beautiful. It's the type of cookware you'd want to have on display, and lots of people keep theirs out on the stove.

In addition to the Always Pan, Our Place also sells knives, a cutting board, cups, bowls, plates, a steamer and spatulas.

The Products

Knife Trio: $145

The knife trio includes the three knives already sold on Our Place's site, just in a bundle at a discounted price ($25 off, to be exact). With these knives, all of your kitchen chopping and cutting duties will be met, so I put them to the test.

First up was the Everyday Chef's Knife. I used this for precisely cutting up steak. It's also great for chopping, slicing, dicing and mincing—aka, everything.

Next was the Serrated Slicing Knife. I used this to cut up small pieces for my homemade croutons. The key to making delicious croutons is by using bread that isn't super fresh, meaning it's going to be a bit harder. The knife was perfect to cut through the rough exterior—way better than the dull bread knife I have since tossed out.

The last of the trio was the Precise Paring Knife. I typically stick with smaller knives in the kitchen and immediately fell in love with the sturdy handle and sharp blade. This knife can be used for all the smaller tasks like peeling, slicing and mincing. I minced garlic and chopped up veggies for a salad with the knife.

Walnut Cutting Board: $95

I was more than happy to toss my ancient cutting board. There was a giant crack in it, and it was not pretty to look at. So, when I got to work with the Knife Trio, I obviously used my gorgeous, brand new Walnut Cutting Board along with it.

And OMG it was a dream come true. I don't know if it's just me, but something about new kitchen gear just makes me want to cook each and every meal. The board itself is crafted from American black walnut, has a trench for juices (a necessity for keeping a kitchen clean), keeps your knives sharp and is cute enough to be put on display or used as a serving board.

Currently, it's sitting in my kitchen corner and it looks fabulous.

Bottom Line

I don't have one negative thing to say about the Knife Trio or the Walnut Cutting Board from Our Place. To me, spending more money on kitchen gear is worth it, but if you're someone who rarely spends any time cooking, the price tag might not be worth it.

However, if you're anything like me, I say go for it. It's already changed my cooking game for the better, and I think it will do the same for you, too!
