18 Questions With Payton Moormeier to Celebrate His Epic 18th Birthday

It's July 28, which makes it singer Payton Moormeier's birthday—and this isn't any old birthday. Today is his 18th birthday, and Payton plans to celebrate in a big way.

For one, he's currently on tour, playing in 24 cities through Aug. 24, where he's been performing the stunning new tracks he's released this year. Payton Moormeier: I'm on tour right now, so probably hanging with the family.

 

2. What's your favorite thing about yourself at the moment?

PM: My smile, 100%.

 

3. What's your favorite color?

PM: Red.

 

4. What's your favorite animal?

PM: Sea otters or penguins.

 

5. What's your favorite food?

PM: Crab legs!

 

6. What song best describes your life right now?

PM: "8TEEN" by Khalid! Haha.

 

7. Do you have any good luck charms or rituals?

PM: My bandana is definitely a good luck charm.

PM: Ginny & Georgia.

 

9. What's your biggest birthday wish?

PM: See my mom!

PM: DoorDash.

PM: Ripped vintage shirts.

PM: I've been super busy, so probably just making songs on the road.

PM: How to cook fried chicken, probably.

PM: My mom and my manager are really good at keeping me going.

PM: "Love Letter" going platinum, haha.

 

18. What's the biggest way you changed since your last birthday?

PM: I can grow a crazy mustache now. It's great.
