100% Plastic-Free Brand Peach Just Launched Their Natural Deodorants, and We’re in Love
Since I was introduced to them last year, Peach has become one of my very favorite skin and hair care brands around.
Up to now, the vegan and 100% plastic-free brand has been all about their bars for the hair, face and body, eliminating the need for plastics in the shower while delivering performance with high-quality ingredients, so you don't miss your old bottled faves. Today, May 18, they move outside of the shower with a new series of products, featuring a unique refill system to dispense deodorant, lotion and all-over balm while still keeping to their plastic-free promise.
The brand reached out to be ahead of the new launch to see if I'd be interested in trying their new releases, and I just had to say yes. Keep reading to find out how Peach's new products work—and whether their goodies are worth going plastic-free for.
The Products
Peach's latest round of products are all about their unique refill system, which houses their products in recyclable and refillable aluminum cases. All of their products are vegan and cruelty-free, include no baking soda, talc, parabens or phthalates, and are naturally fragranced. But most importantly, the brand uses absolutely zero plastics in their products. To date, Peach's plastic-free products have kept 54,000 additional pounds of plastic from winding up in landfills.

Their new deodorants are the highlight of the launch. This aluminum-free natural deodorant is made with arrowroot and magnesium and is designed to fight odor for up to 48 hours. It's also infused with coconut oil and probiotics to be kind to the skin while protecting your microbiome. Their deodorants come in three scents. In addition to the Citrus Vetiver and Cucumber Sage fragrances I was sent, they also have Coconut Jasmine. The other two new products are a Soothing Body Lotion and an All-Over Body Balm.
Starter Kits for each of these products retail for $19.95. They come with an aluminum case, as well as a refill of your product of choice, and with the deodorants, you can choose between yellow, blue or green housing cases. Refills sell individually for $11.95.
The Experience
Citrus Vetiver Deodorant
This little package of goodies arrived to me just in time, because I'd just run out of the natural deodorant I'd been using for a while, and really didn't want to have to transition back to aluminum-based antiperspirant again. The yellow aluminum case and its deodorant stick came in separate boxes, but putting them together was simple enough. I just had to pop the refill stick, with its little hexagonal peg at the bottom, into the aluminum case and push it down until it clicked. From there, I just had to twist the lower rim of the case to get the deodorant to rise, and it was ready to use.
I applied the stick right out of the shower, and found that it glided on super smoothly, and immediately made me feel fresh and clean. The Citrus Vetiver scent smelled sharp and almost spicy, with a partly earthy, partly smoky scent accented by smooth citrus. It's a nice, gender-neutral smell that I think guys will love because it doesn't smell too much like fruit, flowers or perfume. So far as I can tell, it also hasn't left any streaky white residue on my clothing, like many other deodorants do, and that's always a plus.
But most importantly, this stuff works. I found that it did a great job fighting odor all day from the first use. I also had a pretty nasty fever over the weekend, and was feeling hot and uncomfortable a lot of the time, and the fact that this deodorant (alternated with the other fragrance) got me through the whole ordeal shows me it's the real deal.
I did find that the aluminum casing on this one, in particular, made it a little hard to pop the cap back on to the tube, at first, but after forcing it on a few times, it properly shaped itself—and it hasn't been a problem since. I also haven't had any issues with the other cases.

Cucumber Sage Deodorant
This deodorant was just as easy to assemble as the first, and after popping it into its green case and trying it, I think I love it even more than the Citrus Vetiver fragrance. It goes on just as well and works just as hard, but the scent is a bit lighter, sweeter and more feminine. Not only does it smell really nice, but it's just as effective as a deodorant, and that's what really matters.

Soothing Body Lotion
The Soothing Body Lotion was put together just the same as the deodorants, this time into a sleek white case. It was actually the first lotion stick I'd ever tried, so I was curious to see how it would work out, and I was immediately delighted with it.
This lotion stick's coconut and lavender scent is so tropical and refreshing that I can't get enough of it, and the blend of shea butter and jojoba inside of the stick left my skin feeling soft, smooth and silky all day without being too greasy or leaving any streaks. While it does take a bit longer to apply than traditional liquid lotions, I do especially enjoy it for spot treatments or dry spots. I also like using it on my hands, so that marvelous scent is never too far away.

All-Over Body Balm
The container for the All-Over Body Balm and the lotion are the same white, which might get a little confusing, but once you take off the lid there's no getting these two mixed up. This balm is quite solid and firm compared to the lotion, and its piña colada-like coconut pineapple fragrance also helps to distinguish it, while not clashing with the fragrance of the lotion if you decide to use them in tandem.
Thanks to a blend of mango seed and shea butter, it works like a dream. The strong balm is great for smoothing out dry or rough patches on the skin, whether that's on your knees and elbows, feet or anywhere else. It's another one that smells so good you won't want to part with it.

Bottom Line
If you're like me and trying to avoid single-use plastics, Peach is a brand you should definitely try, and I think their latest products might be my favorites yet. Compared to other natural deodorants I've tried and liked in the past, they're actually quite affordable after the initial purchase including the aluminum container, and it's an added bonus that aluminum is so easily recyclable. Plus, these containers look so cute on a shelf or among your beauty supplies.

Of course, if you're allergic to the aluminum cases, or the coconut that's in each of these products, it won't be a good fit, and while my body's become accustomed to natural deodorants and they work like a charm for me, I can't speak to whether they'll work great for anyone else. Regardless, I'm a huge Peach fan, and I'm very much looking forward to what they have up their sleeves next.
