Another Pokémon Just Got Its Own Catchy Theme Song

Mimikyu, Magikarp and Pikachu each have their own catchy theme songs, and now it's Ditto's turn.

In this new track, complete with some beautiful animation, the transforming purple Pokémon hangs out in its home on the ranch and copies any other Pokémon in sight.

Lucky for us, this video has English captions, so we don't have to guess about the narrative. Mostly, it's about the fact that Ditto's transformations can be imperfect.

First, when Ditto transforms into a rock, its eyes give it away and Weedle easily spots it in a field. When a pair of Dittos transform into Pikachus, the funny face of one Ditto makes the other laugh, breaking its disguise. When two Dittos are in battle, they both try to transform into one another and find themselves in an endless cycle, and when one Ditto transforms into a Pidgey, it fails to fly away.

At the end of the story, however, all of the Dittos come together and their friendship transcends any failures. It's a sweet, cute story, and the song is going to be stuck in your head all week.
