On the Hunt for a Chic Swimsuit? Quatre Swim Has You Covered
I live a mile from the beach and have access to a pool and jacuzzi at my condo complex—meaning I'm in my bathing suit year-round.
Just because it's cold outside doesn't mean I'm not going to go surfing or swimming! So, while most people are putting their bikinis away for the season, I have no plans on saying goodbye to mine. And when the team at Quatre Swim asked if I'd want to try out one of their swimsuits, I obviously said yes! Keep scrolling to learn more about the company and for my review of one of their adorable suits.
The Brand
Quatre Swim is a black and female-owned brand that focuses on beachy resort wear. The brand is known for its high cuts and cheeky fits and wants to give women the confidence to rock them and show off their bodies.
All of Quatre's pieces come in beautiful neutral hues that will flatter any skin type out there—think browns, nudes, blacks and more! Plus, Quatre values sustainability, which can be seen through its use of recycled materials.
The Swimsuit
Launch 003 Top and Bottom: $68 and $68
According to the sizing chart, I'm large in tops and medium in bottoms. I opted for the cacao color, which is basically a chocolate brown, and I fell in love when I opened my package. The founder had left me a really sweet note and I couldn't wait to try it on.
I thought the top looked adorable but I had to be super careful about moving around so that I didn't flash anyone. However, I wore this under a wetsuit when I went surfing, so it wasn't really a big deal at the time. When I was wearing the suit on its own, I was mindful of any time I would lean over because I did not want to give anyone a show! This style would probably work best with those who have a smaller bust.
Overall, I thought the top was super comfy, which I think is due to the recycled nylon fabric. I also loved that the material was ribbed—it gives off major '90s vibes and I honestly felt like it was modeled after the supermodels of that decade.
The bikini bottoms were definitely on the tighter side when I put them on, but again, it's because of that '90s influence. It didn't bother me and I actually think it looked super cute! I hiked the straps above my hips to make my legs look longer and I was so pleased with the final result. If you're not into this type of look, I'd definitely recommend sizing up.
Bottom Line
While Quatre does make a great show of providing tons of colors for their suits, they don't offer tons of size options. If you're above a size 8, Quatre probably isn't for you. However, if you do fit their products, I think you're going to fall in love with the brand. The neutral colors will never go out of style and I personally think I'm going to get a lot of use out of my set.
