Rachel Platten's "Fight Song" made her one of our favorite new artists in 2015, and her new album, Wildfire, is already our soundtrack to 2016! If you're not already a Rachel devotee, you need to be, and we're here to help.

Fun Facts:

1. Rachel has been making music for most of her life. She started studying classical piano when she was just 5! She's a skilled guitarist, too.

2. "Fight Song," basically became a hit overnight after it was featured in an episode of Pretty Little Liars.

3. Rachel says "Fight Song" was inspired by all of the rejections throughout her musical career and how, in spite of it all, she kept fighting and never gave up on her dream!

4. It took Rachel a year and a half to get "Fight Song" EXACTLY right. It was clearly worth it, because it resulted in lyrics like these.

5. Rachel rescued her dog, Dino, and he is precious.
