Definitive Ranking of the 5 Trendiest Quarantine TikTok Dances, From Worst to Best
If you weren't on TikTok before, you've definitely downloaded this popular app during quarantine.
Not only can you waste hours watching video after video, but you can also get in on the action by trying out some of the TikTok dance challenges yourself. Most of the dances are easy enough to execute correctly, but hard enough to demand a large chunk of your mental and physical energy.
Of course, not all TikTok dances are created equal. Whether you've watched the same dance performed over and over, or you've tried it yourself, you know that certain grooves are more entertaining than others.
Keep scrolling for our definitive ranking of the five trendiest quarantine TikTok dances, from worst to best.
5. 'Something New'
Ugh, the "Something New" dance. If you're a TikTok beginner, this is a good place to start because this dance is painfully easy. Unfortuantely, it's also painfully boring. Can this even be described as a dance? While it's fun to get the rest of your family involved in your TikTok world, the "Something New" dance is rarely entertaining. We'd be happy if this dance made its way out of the mainstream sometime soon.
4. 'Supalonely'
The "Supalonely" dance was first posted in early February, right before the world went into lockdown. The song is catchy and the dance is… okay. In truth, it looks a little spastic sometimes because it requires so much movement in a short amount of time. If you want to jump around and move your body, this is the dance for you. Unfortunately, it's a little difficult to make this dance look genuinely good, which is why it's No. 4 on our list.

3. 'Renegade'
"Renegade" arrived on the TikTok scene far before quarantine, but it's still going strong. It incorporates your whole body, unlike other TikTok dances, and it looks pretty darn cool when it's all put together. Plus, it's actually difficult, so it can take quite a long time to learn the correct moves. In other words, you can find hours of quarantine entertainment learning this one dance. The "Renegade" dance sits comfortably at No. 3 on our list because it's a bit older, but still a lot of fun.
2. 'Tootsie Slide'
Ugh, we really wanted to hate the "Tootsie Slide," but we just don't. This song by Drake was basically made for TikTok, and it has been a massive success. While you need a little more space to pull off this dance, the end result is worth it. The dance is super simple, so anyone can pull it off, but it's also pretty entertaining to watch. Plus, it gives you a bit of room to make the dance your own at the beginning and end. If you're ready to be a little creative, this is the TikTok dance for you.
1. 'Savage'
We know, we know—"Savage" has been overdone. And while we're semi-sick of seeing it on our feed, there's a reason that it's so popular. The dance is seriously entertaining. It works well with the music, and it's complex enough to occupy hours of your time while you try to learn the correct moves. However, it doesn't require constant, spastic arm movements that end up looking weird in the final video. Whether you're a dancer or you're totally uncoordinated, you can absolutely master this dance. We'll put up with seeing it for a while longer just because it's so entertaining.
