The first day of fall is Sep. 22 this year, and we couldn't be more excited.
Don't get us wrong, we love summer, but by the time the season ends, we're more than ready for a change in temperature, fashion, entertainment, food, drink and more! Are you a fan of fall, too? You've come to the right place. Keep scrolling for the 10 reasons why fall is better than summer.
1. Sweater Weather
Sure, crops tops and jean shorts are cute, but there's just something about cozying up in a bulky sweater that leaves us swooning. Whether you opt for a turtleneck or a teddy sweater, there are so many stunning options to choose from. Just think of the sweaters, scarves and beanies you'll get to wear.

2. Pumpkin Spice Lattes

3. Award Season
We'll admit it—we're obsessed with tv shows and movies. And with fall comes award season! While we love to see our favorites get awards for their work, our favorite part has to be the red carpet. We love seeing what all of our favorite celebs rock, from their gowns to their shoes, and their hair to their makeup.
4. Candle Scents
Summer candle scents are boring, but come fall, the options are endless. From pumpkin to apple and cinnamon to gingerbread, there are so many delicious scents we could honestly eat up. Bath & Body Works is without a doubt our one-stop-shop for fall candles. Their Pumpkin Spice Latte candle ($25.50) is a must-try!

5. Thanksgiving Feast
Summer BBQs are fun and all, but they don't compare in the slightest to Thanksgiving feasts. Basting a turkey, whipping potatoes, baking a pie and more take up your whole day—but it's so worth it to see the look on everyone's faces while they're eating and enjoying your creation—and even better if you didn't have to do any of the cooking!
6. Football Season
Summer is all about baseball, but after a while, it can get super boring. That's why we love fall—because football is back and it's anything but boring. From tackles to touchdowns, there's always something fun and exciting going on. Whether you're watching on TV or are at the game, it's fun no matter what.

7. Back to School
Summer is a great time to unwind and relax, but there comes a time when you simply get bored. With nothing to do, you start to feel lazy. So when school comes back around during the fall, we're so thankful. Not only are our days filled, but we get to see our favorite friends and teachers.
8. Halloween Treats
When we think of summer treats, we think of berries and watermelon. And don't get us wrong, we love the earth's "candy," but there's something about real candy that gets our blood pumping. Halloween candy, in particular, is the best. Even if you don't trick-or-treat anymore, there's tons of candy to go around.
9. Daylight Saving
We love summer nights because it doesn't turn dark for a long time. However, fall means Daylight Saving Time, aka, you get an extra hour of sleep! We honestly don't mind dark nights during the fall. Spooky season means scary movies, and it has to be dark outside for that.
10. Crisp Air
During the hot months of summer, the air is muggy and warm. So by the time fall rolls around, we are more than ready for some crisp air! One of the best feelings in the world is waking up on a crisp fall morning and enjoying a fresh cup of coffee outside. Goals!
