Our Favorite Exhibits From Refinery29’s 29Rooms
After years of waiting, Refinery29's immersive exhibition of style, culture and technology has finally made its way to Los Angeles.
We were first in line at the lifestyle site's 29Rooms exhibit, to get a glimpse at all the fun and exciting instillations being offered.
Scroll below to see which of the 29 rooms (yes, there are indeed 29 art rooms for you to explore) were our personal faves!
Art Heals
Created in collaboration with the non-profit Art of Elysium, this exhibit gives attendees the opportunity to explore their artistic side. Everyone who visits the exhibit is given a brush to paint whatever their hearts desire. Even if you don't think you're creative, you'll feel like you are after visiting this room.

World of Daisy
Marc Jacobs Fragrances created this immersive room that is straight-up gorgeous. Filled with giant daisies and a cascading daisy waterfall, there are a ton of photo opps to be had at this exhibit. Not to mention, it smells amazing.

Portraits of Self-Expression
Filled with picture frames and lots of purple glitter, the room Urban Decay created is a solid masterpiece. We felt like works of art taking tons of photos in the various frames.

What's Your Frequency?
Janelle Monáe put a ton of thought into the room she created for 29Rooms. A line of mannequins stand in a row while surveillance cameras watch over all who enter the exhibit. The message behind the intricate room is to take creative control and not let society control you.

Girl Love
We adore YouTuber Lilly Singh, so we were stoked when we heard she worked on an exhibit for 29Rooms. Girl Love is all about celebrating the power that you and other women have to change the world. You can even don a superhero cape of your very own.

The Future Is Female
Illustrator Jen Mussari and musician Madame Gandhi teamed up for this stress-relieving exhibit. The boxing gloves and bags have inspiring words written on them to remind you that, yes, the future is female. Not to mention, you can create music when you punch the bags. How 'bout them apples?

Become the Masterpiece
Of all the rooms, artist Alexa Meade's Become the Masterpiece is the most fun. Featuring both colorful and black and white backdrops, Alexa also created tons of fun accessories for attendees to dress up in for their pics. With so many fun pieces, it's hard to decide just what to wear—which only means more photo opps.

29Rooms runs from Dec. 7 – 10 and Dec. 14 – 17 at the Row in Downtown Los Angeles. Tickets are currently sold out. If you know someone who snagged a pair, try to convince them to take you.
