7 Restaurant Dishes You Can Make at Home While Quarantining

There are a lot of things we miss during quarantine, including friends, distant family members and our normal daily routines—which include going out to eat.

While it'll take some time for things to get back to "normal," many restaurant chains that have closed their doors during the pandemic have opted to make things a tad easier by sharing some of their beloved recipes online. So while you might not be able to go out to eat just yet, you can make some of your favorite restaurant-quality meals in the comfort of your own home.

McDonald's Sausage & Egg McMuffin

The largest fast food chain in the world shared the recipe for one of its breakfast staples via Twitter on April 4. As its name implies, the tasty sandwich is made with an English muffin, seasoned sausage meat, eggs and American cheese.

 

Pret A Manger's Dark Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Given how popular baking has become amid quarantine, it's no surprise that the chain decided to share the recipe for some of its tastiest cookies via Facebook on April 3. These sweet treats are a must-try for chocolate lovers!

 

Wagamama's Katsu Curry

The London-based chain, which has restaurants all over the globe, shared the recipe for one of its most popular dishes via Instagram on April 16. "The one we've been waiting for, the one we've been craving, the classic katsu curry recipe is finally here," the caption read. "All ingredients for both the chicken + yasai katsu curry can be found in our stories."

Cheesecake Factory's Korean Fried Cauliflower

Though the chain remains close amid the coronavirus pandemic, The Cheesecake Factory did share the recipe for one of its most popular vegetarian dishes via Instagram on April 10.

Panera Bread's Asian Chicken Chopped Salad

The beloved chain has been very generous with its recipes amid the crisis, and has shared how-tos for several dishes, including its gemelli primavera with shrimp, slow cooker chicken barley soup and game-day chili. We're particularly fond of the Asian chicken chopped salad, which is relatively easy to throw together.

DoubleTree's Chocolate Chip Cookies

We know DoubleTree is a hotel chain and not a restaurant, but its legendary cookie recipe is too tasty not to include. "Over the past few weeks, we've gotten lots of messages from fans saying they miss our famous DoubleTree chocolate chip cookie," the brand wrote on Instagram on April 9. "So for the first time ever, we're publicly revealing what goes into this tasty treat, so that you can make them in the comfort of your home."

Disney Parks' Dole Whip

Given that its parks across the globe are currently closed, Disney opted to share its Dole Whip recipe via the Disney World app in April. The dish is surprisingly easy to create and is made with just three ingredients—vanilla ice cream, pineapple juice and frozen pineapple pieces. Additionally, Disney has since shared recipes for its grilled cheese, beloved churro bites and more.
