Rosie the Riveter Costume: Halloween Girl Power!

Here at Sweety High, we think that Halloween is the perfect time of the year to show off your pride with a girl power outfit! This simple tutorial will show you how to put together a Rosie the Riveter costume!

Rosie the Riveter is a U.S. cultural icon, representing girl power at its finest! While the men were out of the country fighting in World War II, the women at home took on jobs in factories across the country, proving what women were really made out of!

Start out the outfit with a simple red and white polka-dotted bandana, which you should be able to find for less than $5!

Roll the bandana into a strip, and tie it around your head in a perfect bow!

Next, you'll need a denim shirt and your favorite pair of jeans. Just role up your sleeves for the perfect Rosie the Riveter look!

Complete the outfit by accessorizing! A brown leather belt and a cute pair of work boots will really bring you back to that time period. And don't forget to wear a popping red lipstick to finish off the look!
