Read our interview with Ryan Potter below and learn why he's so qualified to be a Supah Ninja!

What would you say is your role as part of the Supah Ninjas team?
Mike is the heart of the ninja trio. He's also the moral compass. When Owen is off having dreams of being famous and Amanda is dreaming of being in Paris and getting straight A's, Mike brings the group back to reality, back to the true purpose of being ninjas.

Do you think that your cultural roots have made you more in-tune with your inner ninja?
Absolutely. I was raised in Japan and have a deep respect for my cultural heritage.

Tell me a little bit about your background studying Kung Fu.
I started training in Kung Fu when I was 8 years old. I also trained in Kiyokushin karate for a year, as well as some Wu Shu kung fu training, but my real commitment is to White Tiger Kung Fu. I balance my kung fu training with martial arts tricking. I train with some of the stunt guys from Supah Ninjas and it is amazing!

What real-life skills do you have that would make you an excellent ninja?
I pack a pretty serious snack. Since the ninjas go out on long missions, and we might get a little hungry along the way, having some snacks prepared is a good skill. I've also been known to keep secrets really well.

What is the coolest thing you've been able to do because you're a "Supah Ninja?"
I've been so fortunate to work with the most amazing people. From Carlos and Gracie, George and Randall to our amazing group of directors, writers, stuntmen and our fight choreographer, I've had the blessing to work with some of the best. When we were on the East coast filming Season 2, I got to throw out the first pitch at a Pittsburgh Pirates home game in honor of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America after I was named a National Spokesperson for the organization. Kid's Choice Awards 2011 was pretty epic. Jack Black hosted and it was my first KCA's. That one is still the best for me personally.

If you could borrow one trait for your character, what would it be?
If I could borrow something from Mike it would be the cool ninja suit.
If I could have a character trait for Mike, it would be confidence with the ladies. I wish Mike was a little more confident with Amanda.

What is it like to get to work with George Takei?
It's amazing. He shows me by example and through his stories what it means to be a true professional and to live each day to the fullest. He is kind, funny, talented and such a gentleman. He has real charm and brings out the best in people around him, he truly listens. We both care very deeply about some of the same causes and his humanitarian work inspires me.

Which celeb would you want to see in one of the ninja outfits from the show?
I'd love to have Sophia Vergara, Kevin Hart, Zooey Deschanel and Ricky Gervais suited up in a ninja suit. Maybe The Big Show! Ha!
