Sabine Sauvage Steps Into a New Musical Chapter With the Release of ‘Hide and Seek’

17-year-old pop artist Sabine Sauvage may be young, but she's no stranger to her craft.

The rising singer and Chicago native has made a name for herself as a musical prodigy with rich vocal talents beyond her years, and they're front and center with her newest single, "Hide and Seek." With this song—and its new music video, out today—she's embarking on the next big chapter of her musical career.

Sabine's musical ambitions go way back. In fact, as soon as she was old enough, she began taking music lessons, starting with Wiggleworms classes as a toddler at Chicago's Old Town School of Music. As she grew up, she honed those talents further as a soprano in the Chicago Children's Choir and trained her voice classically. She was just 12 when she released her debut album, Wild Dreamin.

Even at that young age, Sabine had the dedication and ambition to brings its seven vocally lush songs to life. Of course, her abilities and charismatic star power have only grown since then, with "Hide and Seek" serving as the next huge step in her musical story.

The song showcases a more mature side of Sabine's artistry, with an enticing funk-pop sound and flirtatious lyricism. It celebrates the thrill of the pursuit and just how much fun it can be to play hard to get. It demonstrates her musical versatility with a dance floor-ready sound that's new and innovative, without forsaking her pop roots.

Its wonderful music video, shot in Nashville, Tennessee, is equally intoxicating. It reveals the story of a sweet and playful romance, culminating in a literal game of hide and seek.

"This is a playful and flirty song about teasing, temptation and mutual attraction," reads the description for the music video. "It uses metaphors like hide and seek, trick and treat and baking bread to express the thrill of pursuit and indulgence in desire. The narrator invites someone to give in to their curiosity and passion. Overall, it's a confident, fun and sensual pop song."

It's clear that Sabine is well on her way to manifesting her biggest musical ambitions—a world tour and a collab with her idol, Ariana Grande—and she's already made the dream of inspiring others with her music come true. We can't wait to see what she has in store for us next.
