Why Saffron Might Be One of the Buzziest Skincare Ingredients of 2022

If you know Sweety High, you know we're always on top of new beauty trends and exploring exciting new skincare ingredients—so when we heard that saffron skincare was going to be big in 2022, we wanted to learn everything we could about it.

And lucky for us, we were able to get some great answers from Anne Oliver, founder and CEO of House of M Beauty, a brand crafting saffron-infused French skincare. She was able to tell us about some of the great benefits of saffron, and why she decided to start putting it in skincare in the first place. Keep reading to find out while we'll likely be seeing a lot more of saffron in the coming months.

Sweety High: Most people probably think of saffron as a spice for cooking, but why is it actually a great skincare ingredient?

Anne Oliver: It was through my endless research in using saffron to improve my health that I discovered how this spice was used in beauty rituals for centuries. Through trial and error, I began to test the different qualities of saffron, only to find out that I noticed improvements in my complexion when using the highest quality, premium Negin. From this experience, I knew that saffron was a key ingredient missing in skincare and I set out to create House of M Beauty, a saffron-focused line of multipurpose products primed to brighten, calm and protect your complexion.
