Sephora Collection’s Best Skin Ever Full Coverage Multi-Use Concealer Is Finally Here

Anytime Sephora Collection drops a new product, we practically run to the nearest store to get our hands on it.

And just last week, they launched the Best Skin Ever Full Coverage Multi-Use Concealer ($15), and it is everything. We wanted to know the best way to use the concealer and what makes it special, so we got the chance to chat with Helen Phillips Dagdag, Sephora Collection's National Makeup Artist. She told us all about it in the interview below!

Sweety High: Tell us about the new concealer.

Helen Phillips Dagdag: Sephora Collection's Best Skin Ever Full Coverage Multi-Use Concealer ($15) is designed to do it all and can really be used all over the face—you can cover, correct and contour! The weightless, long-wearing formula evens out the appearance of skin with a natural finish without caking or drying.

SH: How many shades are available?

HPD: It's available in 50 shades—our largest shade range for concealer yet—to ensure everyone can find a perfect match. It also has a one-to-one match to our fan-favorite Best Skin Ever Liquid Foundation ($20).

SH: Is the formula water- or silicone-based?

HPD: The vegan formula is water-based, builds easily and plays well with all of Sephora Collection's skincare and primers.

 

SH: What are the best areas to use the concealer?

HPD: Depending on which shade you're using, this concealer can cover anything from blemishes to tattoos (yes, it really is that full coverage!), correct dark circles under the eyes or contour your cheekbones and nose. I personally have been using a handful of shades to do my entire makeup look, even using it for my blush and eyeshadow.

SH: What sets this concealer apart from others?

HPD: To me, the biggest differentiator (besides the incredibly inclusive shade range, which is at the top of my list) is how truly multi-use it is. It's designed to really be used all over your face in a variety of shades to cover, correct and contour, while other concealers have more targeted use. SH: What does the applicator look like?

HPD: The applicator is a big doe-foot that allows you to get lots of coverage using just one dot. It also dispenses the perfect amount of product for a soft sculpted look.

SH: What main ingredients are in the concealer?

HPD: One of my favorite aspects of the Best Skin Ever Full Coverage Multi-Use Concealer formula is that it has a strong active ingredient story and is enriched with skin-loving ingredients (hence the name, Best Skin Ever). This formula has brown algae extract, which offers an anti-pollution protective shield against harsh environmental factors, and is the perfect complement to the Sephora Collection Ultra Glow Serum ($20). Another stand-out ingredient is that it has hyaluronic acid to moisturize and deliver 12-hour hydration, which helps to create that natural finish as opposed to the typical matte finish that most full-coverage products come in.

SH: What skin types should use this concealer?

HPD: Because it is so multi-use and not specifically targeted towards blemishes or brightening, this concealer is perfect for all skin types.
