Shake It Off Breaks Billboard Records!

Taylor Swift's brand new single "Shake It Off" is so popular it's broken two Billboard records in just its first week of radio play!

"Shake It Off" released on August 18 and is the first track off Taylor's upcoming 1989 album. This week, the track was the biggest debut ever on Billboard's Adult Pop Songs chart, and tied for best debut on the Pop Charts!

In fact, it's the first song to ever made it onto the Adult Pop Songs top ten in its first week since the chart first appeared in Billboard magazine back in 1998. "Shake It Off" charted at No. 9 on this list.

On the Pop Songs chart, it reached No. 12. Only Mariah Carey's 1993 hit "Dreamlover" has held this distinction before.

The song has been stuck in fans' heads since it debuted last week, and likely got a boost from Taylor's performance at the VMAs this week.
