Obsessed With Pumpkin Spice Lattes? This Spray Is a Game Changer
Pumpkin spice latte season—better known as "fall"—is in full swing.
For those of you who are obsessed with the iconic Starbucks drink, you know how satisfying taking that first sip of your PSL is, but also how devastating it is when you finish your final beverage of the season?
What if we told you that you could enjoy a PSL year-round? You'd probably think we're crazy, but it's totally possible and way easier than you'd suspect.
Allow us to introduce you to Simply Beyond, a company that specializes in organic spray-on herbs and spices for cooking and baking, as well as fruit vinegar sprays for salads.
Just in time for fall, Simply Beyond released a line of season spray-on spices that include cinnamon, gingerbread and, of course, pumpkin spice.

We got our hands on these bad boys the second we found out about them, because we needed to know if it really was that easy to enjoy a PSL whenever we wanted.
When our shipment of sprays arrived, it came with a little taste test, so naturally we started there.
After dispensing a small amount of spray into three separate sample cups, we placed an animal cracker into the liquid to absorb the flavoring for about 30 seconds. Once the waiting period was over, we chowed down on the cookies.
(Gingerbread cookies made easy)
The sprays were a bit oily, but they are oil, so what do you expect? From the taste test, our favorite was definitely the gingerbread. It made our little animal cracker taste exactly like a gingerbread cookie. We're still in shock by how delicious it was.
Both the gingerbread and cinnamon sprays would be ideal for baking. Imagine how much easier it'd be to make gingerbread cookies or cinnamon rolls will these sprays in your arsenal.
But the real test came when we made our very own PSL. We started out with your regular ol' coffee, added some cream and sugar, then sprayed a moderate amount of the pumpkin spice spray into our coffee.

Not to be dramatic, but we're definitely ditching Starbucks' PSLs for our own spray-on version. The pumpkin spice wasn't too overpowering, even though it was the major flavor at play. Most of the spray aggregated at the top of our coffee, because, again, it is an oil. We had to mix our coffee a few times to make sure it dispersed throughout the entire drink, but it wasn't as much of an annoyance as you would think.
At the end of the day, our makeshift PSL wasn't completely on par with Starbucks' version, but it was still really good. But we really think we're going to stick with this spray, because A) we can make a PSL whenever we want and B) we'll save a ton of money by not visiting Starbucks three times a day for our PSL fix. You can get all three holiday spices for $29, or stock up solely on the pumpkin spice spray for $10.99 a bottle.
PSLs for life… literally!
We love PSLs so much that we rocked PSL deodorant for a week. Read all about our experience with the antiperspirant HERE.
