1. Multicolored Text

You can make every word and even every letter a different color when you add text. All you have to do is select the text portion or single letter you want to be colored and change the color using the bar that appears on the right-hand side. Now go and put some color in the world!

2. Draw In Black And White

Drawing in black and white on Snapchat

There's nothing wrong with lots of color, but sometimes you just want to use black or white. There's a special way to access these colors on Snapchat. It's a bit tricky to get the hang of initially, so don't stress out if you can't get these options to appear right away. First, snap a pic and then click what looks like a little pencil in the top right-hand corner. You will see a spectrum of colors pop up, but black and white aren't available. For black to appear, drag your finger down the range of colors then over to the bottom left-side of the screen. Now you can write and draw in black ink. To get white to pop up, drag your finger down the same range of colors you did before, but then drag your finger over to the top left-hand side of the screen.

3. More Filters

You can use emojis and even text as a filter on your Snapchats. It's super easy to make happen. Simply stretch the emoji or the text as large as you can until it creates the filter you desire over you pics. We used the heart in the kissy face emoji and green text on our snap of Niall, because duh!

4. Send Pics From Your Camera Roll

How to send photos from your camera roll on Snapchat

To send someone a pic on your camera, swipe right on their username to start a text chat. Once you're there, you'll see a yellow camera on the right-hand side. Click on it and the Snapchat camera will open. In the bottom right-hand corner, you'll see a square with a white border around it. Click on it and all of the pictures in your camera roll will appear. Just pick the pic you want to send, even add a little emoji or text to it, and you're good to go.

5. Friend Emojis

Next to the most important people you snap, you'll usually see a certain emoji. When you open Snapchat, click on the ghost icon at the top of your screen. Then click on the little gear in the top right-hand corner. Once you're in your settings, click on 'Manage' under 'Additional Services.' Then click on 'Friend Emojis.' This will let you access your settings so you can see what the emojis next to you friends' names mean. You also have the option to change those emojis to be anything you want.

6. Edit Your Friends' Names

Edit names on Snapchat

You can also change the name of your friends. This doesn't change their actual username, just the name that pops up when they send you a snap. To do this, click on the ghost icon at the top of the screen and click on the 'My Friends' folder. You will see a list of all the friends you have on Snapchat. Use the search bar at the top to find the friend whose name you want to change. Once you've found them, click on their name and a little screen will pop up. Click on the gear on the right-hand side and there will be the option to 'Edit Name' to anything you want. We changed Taco Bell's name to Bae, obvi. You can even change your bestie's name to Harry Styles so everyone thinks you're receiving snaps from the ultimate bae himself!

7. Custom Geofilters

Snapchat recently just announced that you can now create your own custom geofilter for all the important events in your life. The video above gives a quick run through on how to make the geofilter you desire, but if you go to snapchat.com/on-demand, you can get more concrete info on just how to perfect it.
