10 Songs to Send Your S.O. When You Really Miss Them

Summer is right around the corner, and you know what that means: the possibility of no longer seeing your S.O. every single weekday.

In fact, you may not see them for weeks (or more!) at a time. With vacations, summer school and distance factoring into summer break, it means absence (and music) will have to make the heart grow fonder.

If you're prepping for the long, dreary days without that special someone by your side, we've rounded up a list of 10 songs you can send to remind them of just how much you miss them.

Those three months will come and go in no time.

"Stay" by Rihanna f./Mikky Ekko

This Rihanna ballad states the obvious: You want your S.O. to stay. Let the song express that even though you and your special someone aren't physically together for the time being, they consistently stay in your heart.

"Dreaming" by The Knocks

What better way to tell your S.O. you miss them than by perking up their ears to this upbeat song by The Knocks? "Dreaming" let's them know they're always on the top of your mind, regardless of where they are.

"Without You" by Ghost Beach

The lyrics, "I never wanna love again," and "I never wanna be without you," by the now-defunct electro-pop duo Ghost Beach says it all in the form of a song. Even if you and your S.O. are apart, at least they know that your mind certainly won't wander during their absence.

"I Would Do Anything for You" by Foster the People

This beautiful song is worth sending to anyone you care about on any given occasion, but in the case of the S.O. who you miss, this is a loving reminder of how much they mean to you.

"Teenage Dream" by Katy Perry

This iconic pop track is a reminder to your S.O. that they are your "teenage dream" and that many more blissful memories between the two of you are on their way!

"Come Back… Be Here" by Taylor Swift

It wouldn't be any kind of lovey-dovey playlist without a T-Swift track thrown in the mix. This song is a throwback to her Red album, and with the chorus chanting, "I don't wanna miss you like this; Come back, be here, come back, be here," your S.O. will be left with no doubt in their mind what your thoughts are.

"A Thousand Miles" by Vanessa Carlton

Plain and simple: You'd walk "A Thousand Miles" to "just see [your S.O.] tonight." Right?

"When You're Gone" by Avril Lavigne

This song picks apart all the emotional angst of being separated from the object of your affection. If you feel the pain expressed in this song, they'll obviously experience it, too.

"Mark My Words" by Justin Bieber

Cue the tears…

The emotional opening ballad to The Biebs' Purpose album makes a promise to his love (presumably Selena Gomez), with the lyrics: "I won't let me lose you, and I won't let us just fade away, after all that we've been through…" Let your S.O. know that distance and time will only strengthen your bond, and that nothing will come between you.
