Starbucks’ New Galaxy Frappuccino Is Out of This World Awesome
Starbucks' latest creation is out of this world.
The coffee chain has been stepping up its creativity in recent months, and just days after Starbucks Mexico debuted Cotton Candy and Bubblegum Frappuccinos, customers in another part of the world now have an equally colorful and intriguing drink to behold.
This latest beverage, the Galaxy Frappuccino, is designed to look like a trip through outer space, and thanks to its vibrant purple and blue hue it's basically tailor-made for Instagram.
Per Delish, this other-worldly beverage was developed by Starbucks' product innovation team in Brazil, and according to a spokesperson for the company it's a crème-based drink with a cotton candy flavor and grape "cosmic dust," topped with whipped cream and pink and blue glitter.
The drink gets its name for what happens when you mix all of those ingredients together, since the tasty and colorful combo creates an "ultra-violet galaxy look" as everything swirls around in the cup.
Unfortunately, the picturesque Galaxy Frappuccino is only available from August 22 through August 26 in select areas across Latin America and the Caribbean, including Aruba, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama, Puerto Rico, Peru and Trinidad & Tobago.
However, that's not to say the drink will never make an appearance in the U.S., and in the meantime we have equally awesome offerings from Starbucks such as the Strawberry Açaí Starbucks Refresher and the Ultra Caramel Frappuccino to keep us happy and hydrated.
