How Finding Her Perfect Match Inspired Stephanie Poetri’s ‘Astrologically Illogical’
If you've ever eagerly looked up your zodiac compatibility with your crush, only to find that astrologically says you're not meant to be, Stephanie Poetri's new single was meant for you.
The track is called "Astrologically Illogical," an atmospheric and upbeat indie pop-rock ode to the type of love that defies the stars. It was inspired by her own relationship and the discovery that the constellations don't get to define her perfect match—and we love seeing Stephanie's Taurus stubbornness come across in every line. We got the chance to chat with Stephanie all about it, and she shared its story with us in the interview below.
The Story Behind 'Astrologically Illogical'
Stephanie Poetri: "Astrologically Illogical" is about how I used to put so much emphasis on having compatible signs with my significant other, but since meeting my current partner our signs don't align but we match better than anyone else!
What 'Astrologically Illogical' Means
SP: This song is a fun way of interpreting how astrology impacted how I thought. It's not necessarily making fun of it, rather having fun with the idea of it. I hope listeners will sing and dance along to the song and get to yell out their astrology signs with me!

Stephanie's Favorite Lyric
SP: I love the opening line, "I'm such a Taurus and everybody says that they can tell immediately," 'cause its very true!
On Her Zodiac Sign
SP: I'm a Taurus, and I'd say it describes me well enough, but not enough for me to believe it! I found that I'm really not supposed to match with Aquarius, but my boyfriend is and we work really well together! Even better than other signs I'm supposedly meant for! Very funny!

What's Next
SP: This track is the first of a new sound I'm making for my projects! It's more mature and edgy, but still with the ethereal and feminine sound of my older stuff! So I really hope you enjoy it!
