Sweety High: Had you watched Stranger Things at all before winning the role of 15?

Bentley Williams: No, I was not familiar with the show prior to my audition. I had very little time to prepare, so I was able to watch two episodes before submitting my audition. I try to do to this so I'm familiar with what I'm auditioning for.

SH: What did it mean to you to know you were acting in a huge series with so many fans around the world?

BW: Actually I knew the show was very popular. However, I didn't know it was this super popular until Season 4 came out. I'm the happiest kid on earth! People are writing to me like I'm a celebrity. In reality, I'm just a regular kid. My audition was good enough for me to work with very talented actors. I didn't realize this when I was 8 years old filming.

SH: The test subjects at Hawkins Lab lived lives that were both scary and tragic. How did you get into 15's head to play her?

BW: To get my head to play the role of 15, I had to think of all kinds of scary scenarios. Watching a couple of episodes helped me to think of these scary things happening around me. After I booked the role I started watching all the episodes. This really helped me.

SH: Do you have a favorite memory from the shoot?

BW: My most favorite memory is when I was at the puzzle table and Millie [Bobby Brown] slams the door open. I had no idea what she was going to do, so when the camera stopped rolling the director complimented me. Millie then ran up behind me and tickled me and said, "Great job, you never ever moved. You stayed in character." She was proud of me and I was so happy!

SH: If you had a special superpower, what do you think it would be?

BW: All of my siblings were told on set that we have telekinesis. I would also love to be invisible. I think that would be super cool.

SH:  Is there anything else you'd like to add?

BW: Thank you to all the fans for watching the show and for being so kind to us little ones. I love to do shout-outs to fans because it's nice and I think everyone should be kind and generous to one another. Xoxo 15, Bentley Williams.
