When Does Stranger Things Season 3 Premiere? Netflix Has Narrowed It Down
The Hawkins faithful has an important question on its mind and has for a while: When does Stranger Things Season 3 premiere on Netflix?
At last, we have a more definitive answer, albeit still not an exact date.
(Stranger Things via Netflix)
Netflix's vice president of original series, Cindy Holland, attended a Television Critics Association press tour event on Sunday, and she confirmed that the hit show's third season will hit Netflix next summer, according to Entertainment Weekly. People suspected as much after the first promo came out in mid-July and seemed to reveal the timeline, but Holland made the news official. She also explained why the upcoming season won't be made as quickly as the two before it.
"It's a really exciting season, just takes a little more time," she said, as EW reports.
Holland noted that the creators of Stranger Things, Matt and Ross Duffer, as well as their fellow executive producer, Shawn Levy, are being very deliberate in light of the show's wild success over the past two seasons.
"They understand the stakes are high," she said. "They want to deliver something bigger and better than last year. I think it's going to be a fantastic season. It will be worth the wait."
Sadly, we won't see for sure until Summer 2019, but we're excited already.
