3 Subtle Ways to Show Your Crush You Want Them to Be Your Valentine
With Valentine's Day just around the corner, it's time to start planning out what you're going to do for your crush.
Do you go all out and confess your love to them? Do you plan a romantic candlelit dinner? If these options don't sound up your alley, chances are, you'd rather go the more understated route. Instead of some grand gesture, keep things low-key.
Keep reading for three subtle ways to show your crush you want them to be your Valentine:
1. Leave Them a Hand-Written Letter In Their Locker
Take some hints from To All the Boys I've Loved Before—leaving your crush a hand-written letter is a surefire way to land yourself a Valentine. You can take this letter in lots of different directions. You can keep it short, funny and sweet, leaving them a card that says, "I like you, do you like me?" Leave a yes, no and maybe option for them to circle. Or, if you're feeling a bit more bold, take it the silly route and leave the options "yes" and "YES." It's guaranteed to make your crush chuckle, aka, make them like you even more.

2. Make Them Homemade, Strawberry Cupcakes
Nothing says "I like you" quite like something homemade. Since Valentine's Day is the date that sweets are allowed for breakfast, lunch and dinner, why not make them some yummy cupcakes? If those aren't your specialty, fret not, because C&H Sugar has a fabulous recipe that even you will be able to handle. Once your baking is complete, make sure to gift it in some cute Valentine's Day packaging. We're willing to bet your crush's friends will all be jealous that they have a girl who's willing to throw on an apron and make them something delicious and from the heart!

3. Create a Short Scavenger Hunt
While this may lean toward the bold side of things, it's actually pretty simple to keep this low-key. Set up a three-part scavenger hunt for your crush. First, leave them an anonymous letter in their locker, sprinkled with not-so-subtle clues it's from you. At the end of the letter, tell them the next destination they need to go to find their next gift. For the second step, leave a rose or some candy with more clues to your identity, ending with the final destination to meet you (aka, the real gift). We think this should be somewhere of significance to the two of you. Whether it's the classroom you met or the first place you grabbed coffee together, make sure it's meaningful in some way.
