The Definitive Ranking of Subway’s Cookies
We can never resist buying a tasty cookie (or six) at the Subway checkout counter with that great big cookie case staring us straight in the eye.
Everyone has their favorites, but which one is the ultimate Subway cookie? We bought one of each and taste-tested them all so we could rank them for you ourselves. You're welcome.
8. Peanut Butter Cookie
While a great peanut butter cookie can be absolutely divine, it's all to easy to mess them up. Subway's version is super soft, when it would be nice for it to have a bit of crispness as well. It also lacks a strong peanut butter taste throughout the cookie and tends to taste a little burnt.

7. Sugar Cookie
Subway's sugar cookie has a great texture but lacks the sweetness you'd expect from anything called a "sugar" cookie. It's fine, and you can easily eat the entire cookie without being overwhelmed by sweetness, but it leaves something to be desired.
6. White Chip Macadamia Nut Cookie
While white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts are typically a winning combination, for some reason they're not at their best in this cookie. We think it has something to do with the sweetness of the dough. The chip and the dough simply don't complement one another—though we do love ourselves some macadamia nuts. They're the best part of this cookie, by far.

5. Oatmeal Raisin Cookie
We wouldn't normally rank an oatmeal raisin cookie this high on any list, but Subway's is surprisingly good. It's soft and the crumbly oatmeal portion is perfectly flavored with cinnamon, spice and sugar. If you can't stand raisins, we honestly recommend trying the cookie and eating around them. It just might make you change your mind.

4. Raspberry Cheesecake Cookie
The raspberry cheesecake cookie is by far the thickest cookie on this list, and that's not a bad thing. As you bite in, the smell of fruit immediately wafts into nostrils. While the combination of macadamia and white chocolate didn't add much to the other cookie, mixing raspberry and white chocolate really takes this one to the next level. While we don't exactly get the sense of cheesecake like the name promises, the result is still pretty delicious.
3. Rainbow Gem Cookie
"Rainbow gems" are Subway's fancy term for M&M-like candies, and this cookie really benefits from their inclusion. It's super chocolatey, with extra crunch from the candy shells in addition to the chocolate chips embedded in the dough.

2. Chocolate Chip Cookie
Yes, this cookie technically has less chocolate in it than the rainbow gem cookie, but we somehow find this one superior. It's a strong take on the classic chocolate chip cookie with an extra buttery dough that we can't help but scarf down.
1. Double Chocolate Cookie
Subway's double chocolate cookie is and will always be their most transcendent cookie. The chocolate dough really makes this one stand apart from the rest. While we mentioned earlier that white chocolate chips don't do much to complement Subway's standard cookie dough, this almost-black cookie and the white chocolate chips create the perfect balance. It has normal chips thrown in for good measure, making it our cocoa-packed go-to every time.
