Dive Into the Summer Drop From the Storm Reid x PacSun Swim Collab

September might almost be here, but summer isn't over yet.

That's because Storm Reid just dropped the latest in the ArashiBlue collection in partnership with PacSun. We've got all the details you need to know, and even caught up with the Emmy-nominated actress for a first-hand chat about the collab. Check out our insights and interview with Storm below.

A Look at the Lineup

We first fell in love with ArashiBlue two years ago and have since seen a wide range of colors and cuts to choose from. This summer 2023 launch marks the sixth and final drop for the partnership and includes 12 new bikini sets in designs from underwire tops to curtain bottoms and tie-front tops. The sea, sunrise and sunset served as inspiration, paying homage to a tropical paradise.

"An all-new collection anchored in the vibrant color palettes of summer and an array of fun, textured fabrications give Storm's final collection an appeal like no other," said Abbie Hutzler, women's buying director at PacSun. "We have had a really successful partnership with Storm Reid over the past two years. During this time, Storm has worked closely to concept and design her ArashiBlu Swim collections alongside the PacSun team, delivering strong collections each time."

An Interview With Storm Reid

Sweety High: What was the inspiration for the launch this time around? What makes it different from the others?

Storm Reid: With our last collection, I think we wanted to stay with the trends that we have been on—you know, beautiful colors, beautiful silhouettes. But, I feel as though this collection is a little bit more minimal and simple, which I always love. You can always go with different pieces in your closet or you can mix and match with the collection. So that was our goal, but of course to continue to make suits that everybody can feel comfortable in.

SH: Why did you choose to explore swimwear?

SR: I've always loved swimwear. I'm a Cancer, so I'm a water sign. I've always loved going to the beach and going to the pool. When I was little, my sister every year for my birthday would buy me a swimsuit. I would collect swimsuits over time. I looked up, and I had a few swimsuits. When I was entering this space of wanting to create something and collaborate with a brand, PacSun was the first place that I wanted to collaborate with. It's a place that I shop on my own time, and I know that they were familiar with swimwear and I just thought it would be a perfect segue into creating stuff and putting it out in the world. I'm so happy with how the collection has turned out.

SH: Why did you choose to work with PacSun?

SR: I try to operate from a space of authenticity always, no matter what I'm doing. It's a place that I was familiar with and I've shopped on my own time. I was familiar with going into the store and I was familiar with the things that they carry. When this opportunity presented itself, I thought it would be the perfect segue into this space because I was familiar with PacSun. I was a fan of them and for them to give me the resources to create something very special and near and dear to my heart was a blessing and something that I'll cherish forever.

SH: What's your favorite piece in the collection this time around?

SR: Oh, my favorite piece! I love them all, but I really love the army green suit. I think it has such a really cute silhouette and I love the top on that one. And then also, I love the ribbed, simple pink suit. I think everybody's been really loving that as well. I mean, I'm biased. I love all of them. The patterned one is very cute as well. I can't pick a favorite. I'm sorry!
