Here’s Your Opinion of Summer, Based on Your Zodiac Sign

It may sound absurd, but not everyone agrees that summer is the best time of year.

Aries (March 21 – April 19):

Bold Aries sees summer as the perfect opportunity to take the chances they've been waiting to take all year, and never to look back. They love that summer feels like there are no consequences. Aries is up for anything because they suffer from serious FOMO if they don't jump right into the fun. Active and outdoorsy, they find summer the perfect time to go out and do their thing. They're never content sitting around at home, and when laziness gets the best of them, they always regret feeling like they wasted summer away.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20):

Taurus is the most likely sign to spend the entire summer indoors, and they wouldn't mind that at all. Taurus is all about luxury, and few things feel more luxurious to them than wearing their comfiest PJs and lounging on the couch with the A.C. blasting, a movie on and their favorite ice cream in hand. They may also dedicate a portion of their summer to learning a new artsy craft. They love few things more than showing off the fine things they've been able to create.

 

Gemini (May 21 – June 20):

Gemini summers are as varied as Geminis themselves. One day, they might be up for the adventure of their life, and the next, they may opt to stay in all day and read a good book in bed. Geminis work hard to hone their minds as well as their bodies, and these two desires can pull them in different directions when it comes to what to do with their time. Lucky for them, the summer should be long enough to focus on both.

 

Cancer (June 21 – July 22):

Cancers tend to be torn about summertime. On one hand, they love celebrating their summer birthday. On the other, homebody Cancers sometimes feel guilty about the fact that they want to shut themselves in for the whole season. They don't care too much for hot, sticky weather or their friends being away on vacation while they're stuck on their own. Still, they thrive around the people they care about, and when they're around, nothing can get them down.

 

Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22):

If Leo had it their way, the entire year would be summer. Party season means Leo's vibrant, positive personality is constantly out in full swing. They never waste a day away at home—unless they've brought the party with them. They also can't stand keeping all the fun to themselves. They pride themselves on spreading joy and being friends to everyone. Basically, they're summer incarnate. Even the heat won't be able to bring down their cool, and they can put a smile on the biggest summer Scrooge's face.

 

Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sep. 22):

Though they appreciate the time off, summer may go on just a little too long for Virgo's liking. They use this time to cultivate their minds and perfect their skills, as well as to maintain a perfectly tidy room. They have a hard time getting the full benefit of summer because their minds are constantly running, and they rarely spend a moment just relaxing and taking things in. They prefer to keep themselves busy, so summer can stress them out a little, considering time squandered unless it's utilized to its fullest. Plus, because detail-oriented Virgo thrives in an academic environment, they wind up yearning to go back to school long before summer has ended.

Libra (Sep. 23 – Oct. 22):

Libra loves summer because they see it as a chance to spend every waking minute with their friends and family. Libra's summer is spent trying to please everyone, agreeing to attend every party and event—but since they can only be in one place at a time, they often leave some people disappointed. Libra can come off as a bit flaky because they overcommit, and this is particularly true in the season dedicated to friends—though Libra will always find a way to maintain a balance in their friendships.

 

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21):

Scorpios don't like being forced to interact with people they don't care about, so they welcome the break from the obligatory social interactions of school. During the summer, they can choose to interact with just the few special people they've let into their own inner circle, and spend the rest of the time on self-growth. They like to spend time bettering themselves and can't get enough of subjects like astrology and philosophy. Summer is the perfect time to dedicate days to learning about them.

 

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21):

Sagittarius counts down the days until summer because it means it's time for vacation and travel. They thrive on visiting new places, seeing new sights and taking in new cultures—even if they're just visiting a nearby city for the first time. They live for adventure and experiences, and it's tough to do that when you have to be at school all day. If they have anything to say about it, they won't let their summer go to waste, finally letting out all that restlessness and frustration they've been feeling all year.

 

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19):

Capricorn could take or leave summer. They're the busy bees of the zodiac and would prefer to keep themselves occupied, even when the school year ends. They actually love to work and feel productive, so they're the most likely sign to get a summer job. If they're not getting paid for something, chances are that they're still utilizing every minute of their time wisely. Summer gives them a chance to get ahead on their to-do list, but Capricorn would manage to do that, even without the time off.

 

 

Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18):

Aquarius craves freedom and individuality, so obviously summer is their favorite time of the year. They don't like anyone telling them what to do or how to do it, and even though they tend to excel in academics, they appreciate the chance to be out of school and finally do their own thing. They also tend to be unpredictable—but who can be unpredictable when you're cooped up in classes all day? Summer gives them a chance to stretch their legs, finally be true to themselves and maybe do some good in the world.

 

Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20):

Pisces loves that summertime means they're allowed to do nothing. They're likely to daydream the entire summer away, but even if they don't do much with their time, they'll find the summer extremely fulfilling and won't regret a thing. Pisces also loves water, whether that means time at the beach or swimming laps in the pool. Pisces' lazy summer makes the rest of the year worth it.
