SUNN St.Claire’s Latest Work!
SUNN St. Claire is a singer, songwriter and actress who most recently was recognized by voters at RyanSeacrest.com for creating the best cover of Katy Perry's "Dark Horse"!
We spoke with SUNN recently about everything she's been working on since we spoke to her last!
SUNN St. Claire has been hard at work developing new original music to share with her fans. Recently she worked on a track with Grammy nominated producer Kevin "Khao" Cates.
One of SUNN's producers, Joe Lamont, informed SUNN about one of Khao's tracks, called "Jet Lag," which at the time consisted only of forest sounds.
Khao had only met SUNN once, but he thought that she could be the one to complete his track.
"He told me he thought I could do something really cool with this song, so Khao sent it over to me and basically I ended up writing the verses and the melody," SUNN explained. "It came out really really cool and he really loved it."
SUNN hopes the song will be released soon for fans across the world to hear!
Since moving to Los Angeles, SUNN has also acted in the independent film Me, Him & Her, the ABC Family show Pretty Little Liars and Last Man Standing on ABC.
SUNN explains that acting and getting yourself out their is a lot of hard work.
"It's definitely a process," she explained. "It doesn't happen in a week or even a month."
When she first moved to Los Angeles, SUNN immediately enrolled in acting classes.
"With acting, if you're not doing a show or job all the time there's no way to practice," she said. "By going to acting lessons once a week I've been able to practice and be up on my chops."
But SUNN has been putting her work out in the world and snatching up incredible opportunities left and right!
She was a big part of the Disneyland Christmas Parade, which also featured Demi Lovato and American Idol winner Jordin Sparks.
"It was a totally different experience because every time I've ever gone to Disneyland it's been to have fun and go on rides,"It's not that it wasn't fun, but it was also working."
SUNN got to experience Disneyland in a whole new light, going through a special entrance in the back and performing a few times in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle.
"The first person that performed was Demi Lovato. She had her bright blue hair at the time, and she had this guy carrying an umbrella and shading her," SUNN said. "We did that about five times, and then did it again for Jordyn Sparks. It was incredible."
Most recently, SUNN was crowned the winner in Ryan Seacrest's contest to find the best cover of Katy Perry's "Dark Horse," beating out 25 other amazing interpretations of the song. Sweety High wishes a massive congratulations to SUNN!
