Here’s How to ACTUALLY Enjoy the Super Bowl If You Don’t Care About Football

This Sunday, more than 100 million people will tune into the most anticipated NFL game of the season: Super Bowl 51.

Devoted Patriots and Falcons fans cannot wait—but what about you?

If you're feeling a little less than enthused about Sunday's event, no fear, we're here to present six ways to instantly make your game-watching experience top notch.

1. Make a Game Out of the Event

Want to get hyped for the game before it even starts?

Prior to the show, have your friends and family answer simple questions trying to predict the outcome of different aspects of the game.

For example, some fun questions to ask might be, "How long will Luke Bryan sing the National Anthem?" "What song will Lady Gaga sing first," or maybe even, "Who will make a guest appearance during the halftime show?"

Award the person who gets the most correct answers with a fun prize like a dollar-store trophy or football-themed treat. A little competition can be fun. ????

2. Pick a Team and Get Invested

Even if you don't care about the NFL, it's fun to pick a team to support during the Super Bowl. Don't know whether you want to root for the Patriots or the Falcons? Take our quiz HERE to find out.

3. Rank the Commercials

If you can't bear to watch the game, at least do yourself a favor and tune into the commercials. Some hilarious teasers of this year's commercials have already been released, and if the rest of the ads are as good as these, you won't be disappointed.

Keep a running list of all your fave ones, and at the end, rank them all. Bring your rankings to school the next day to discuss the most legendary ads.

4. Take Charge of the Snack Table

Let's be real, half the fun of attending a Super Bowl party or watching the game from home is munching on all the snacks.

This year, volunteer to be in charge of snacks for your friends and fam. You can either whip up some homemade Super Bowl-inspired appetizers you find on Pinterest, or just head to the store and load up on new and healthy treats. We'll be stocking up on our new fave chips from IPS Snacks—they're great for game day! ????

5. Research, Smash Talk and Tease Your Friends

If you're watching with a diehard Patriots or Falcons fan, have some fun by playfully teasing them during the game.

Pre-kick off, do your research on their fave team and player and be prepared to come in hot with some facts about them. Bring up their worst performing game, their season fails and some hard losses, and prepare to see them cringe.

6. Memorize Ambiguous Phrases So You Sound Like You Know What You're Talking About

Acting like you know what's going on can make your experience that much more enjoyable.

If you want to fool your friends into thinking you're actually paying attention, blurt out football-related phrases and jargon that only football-lovers understand.

Start out with some of these buzzworthy phrases.

7. Admire the Cute Players

All we have to say is, "Hello, Tom Brady." ????

8. Watch the Puppy Bowl Instead

If all else fails, participate in Super Bowl festivities by watching the canine version of the sport: the Puppy Bowl. Puppies and football? It doesn't get more adorable than that. Catch the show on Animal Planet Sunday at 3 p.m. ET.

Be sure to tune into the Super Bowl this Sunday on Fox at 6:30 p.m. ET!

There's no denying that half the fun of watching the Super Bowl is seeing all the crazy ads. If you want a sneak peek at some of this year's hilarious commercials head over HERE.
