Why the T3 SinglePass StyleMax Is the Only Flat Iron I Will Ever Use Again

I have consistently straightened my hair since the early '10s. Over the past decade, I have probably tried every brand on the market, from the most affordable to the most luxurious. Though I have found other irons I like, almost nothing could replace my BaByliss Pro full-time.

However, there was one brand I've always seen at Sephora and never brought myself to purchase: T3. The white-and-rose gold instantly catches my eye every time I see it.

Last month, T3 was kind enough to let me try out their SinglePass StyleMax flat iron, and I could not contain my excitement. Below, check out my honest experience using the product for a few weeks now on my textured hair.

The Brand

The T3 brand prides itself on making your experience "faster, easier, more inspired and healthier for your hair," thanks to its innovative technology. They began developing their product in 2003, which means there has been a lot of thought and, more importantly, love infused into its original design.

Firstly, they use adaptable tech that tailors to your hair needs. So, if you've struggled to determine what heat setting you can handle without damaging it, no need to worry any longer. The temperature will automatically adjust "based on your hair profile."

They've also implemented "mindful form factors" and "intuitive touch features" to create a flat iron that is comfortable to maneuver without accidentally hitting any buttons along the way.

To drive home how much they care about the fine details, too, they've also created a quiz that you can take on their website. Luckily, for me, the results said the SinglePass StyleMax would be a superb fit.

My Experience

Unless I'm doing a touch-up, I dread doing my hair. It is undoubtedly a workout if you have weak arm muscles like me. On top of that, imagine having to do twice or triple the work because you don't have the optimal hair straightener. That was my reality.

But I was hopeful.

I tried testing the SinglePass StyleMax to refresh the sleekness after having my hair professionally done and after I washed it myself. The results were identical.

It was quick, easy and beginner-friendly.

Once I had the correct amount of tension and time per lock of hair, I only needed a single pass. Remember: it's a marathon, not a sprint. Despite moving slowly, there was no burning smell.

I never noticed any yanking or tugging. It glides smoothly across my hair in its natural and previously styled state.

As I mentioned earlier, it automatically adjusts the heat level, so there's only a power button, which you must hold down the power button to shut it off. That meant I wasn't awkwardly turning my iron off or changing my settings (and then being forced to wait for it to heat back up because I didn't realize it).

And each time I used it, I had that water-like shine after a fresh wash (and maybe a straightening treatment). For the first time in my life, I even received compliments on the sheen I had. That's when I knew I would never return to any of my previous flat irons again.

Bottom Line

If you, like me, simply want a no-frills flat iron that will give you bone-straight hair, the T3 SinglePass StyleMax is a perfect option. 

My styling time was cut in half, especially when I needed to touch up my hair. I could need to leave in five minutes and still comfortably have enough time to make sure my roots and ends were straight again.

While I don't typically curl my hair, I can acknowledge that this straightening is also extremely versatile because of the rounded clamps.

If you are a more advanced stylist, you might be more interested in their Lucea or Smooth ID flat irons. But I think that even at the starter level, the SinglePass StyleMax is the best straightener I have ever used.

T3 genuinely seems interested in educating its users and providing healthy hair, which is a level of trust more companies in their mission statements. After trying it, it's no surprise that has glowing reviews across every website because it is that good.
