We Tried Taco Bell’s Naked Crispy Chicken Chalupa Before It Hits Stores… and OMG It’s Good
If you've ever been to Taco Bell (fingers crossed you have), you know they're all about serving up food with fun, unique flavors.
Well, this week we had the great pleasure of visiting Taco Bell's headquarters (based in Orange County, California) where we got to taste-test one of their new and deliciously epic products before it officially hits stores tomorrow, Jan. 26.
It's called the Naked Crispy Chicken Chalupa, and it's nothing short of mind blowing.
This is moments before we laid our eyes on the glorious creation:
Essentially, this new meal takes two of our favorite ingredients, crispy chicken and taco shells, and combines them for the ultimate mashup. The crispy chicken itself is the taco carrier. Yep, you read that correctly.
Are you ready to feast your eyes on the masterpiece in all its glory? Here is a quit shot I took of it before scarfing it down:
Take a bite of this beauty and you get a mouthful of all-white chicken, avo-ranch dressing, lettuce, cheese, tomatoes and spices made uniquely for Taco Bell. We love that all the fresh veggies give this taco a healthy glow, and even though the taco shell is fried chicken, it tastes a lot lighter than you'd expect.
If you love the Gordita Supreme you'll be obsessed with this, as it's pretty much the same build minus the sour cream. Yum.
We're so glad this genius culinary creation exists and we can't wait until it hits stores!
Do you have an occasional weakness for fast food? It's okay, we feel ya. Head over HERE to see how we think drive-thru french fries stack up against each other.
