These Signs Are the Most (and Least) Compatible With Taurus in Relationships

If you've been crushing hard on a hard-working, refined and ultra-reliable Taurus, we totally get it.

There's something so appealing about someone you can always count on to get the job done, and their stylishness and great taste certainly don't hurt. Wondering what your chances with them might be? We can't tell you that, but we can tell you a bit about what your compatibility might look like, based on your own sign. Of course, astrological differences can't fully doom a relationship on their own, so take the below as a handy jumping-off point, rather than a set of hard and fast rules.

Most Compatible

Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sep. 22)

Taurus follows the same rules as most zodiac signs, meaning they're highly compatible with the signs that share their element, earth. As fellow earth signs, Taurus and Virgo are grounded with strong desires for stability, seeking it out as well as creating it themselves, which can make for a very happy and solid relationship overall. They're harder-working than pretty much anyone, with practical sensibilities and keen eyes for fine detail, which can quickly build into a strong sense of loyalty and shared respect for one another—even if Taurus can be a bit less frugal than Virgo likes.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19)

Of course, the final earth sign of the zodiac, Capricorn, is also a fine match for dependable Taurus. These two signs might be the most driven of the entire zodiac, and together, they're wonderful at both encouraging the other while explicitly as well as motivating them simply by continuing to get their own work done. They both tend to set high but achievable expectations and are likely to reach them together. Taurus's stubborn fieriness can sometimes make them too much for even-headed Capricorn, but it's nothing these two cannot overcome.

Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20)

Taurus's stable, hard-working nature and Pisces' dreamy creativity may not seem like an obvious match, but together, these two signs can actually create a beautiful sense of harmony. Taurus tends to be the provider, while Pisces deepens the relationship with their sensitivity and emotional openness. Taurus can help Pisces to keep things together, even while their head is in the clouds, while Pisces' compassion can bring the best out of Taurus, creating a striking sense of balance both dearly need.

Least Compatible

Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18)

The earth sign Taurus and air sign Aquarius tend to be complete opposites when it comes to how they see the world, and mix just about as well as dirt and oxygen. While Tauruses pride themselves in their work ethic and classic sensibilities, Aquarius cares primarily about independence and carving out their own way in the world. Taurus loves to keep to the status quo, while Aquarius actively seeks to defy it. Of course, when these two can work it out, they make for a very interesting pair—but for some, it simply might not be worth the effort.

Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22)

Earth and fire signs are another pairing that can lead to big clashes, and that's especially true when Taurus meets Leo, who both prefer to take the lead and be in charge. Both are fixed signs, making them ridiculously stubborn, and when these two come to a disagreement, neither is prone to budging anytime soon. It doesn't help that they're both quite dissimilar in other regards, too, with Taurus being hard-working and practical and Leo being someone who loves being in the spotlight at all times.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21)

Earthy Taurus and watery Scorpio can make another challenging duo—especially with both of those signs being at total opposite ends of the zodiac. Scorpio is another fixed sign, and that spells trouble for getting along with the often inflexible Taurus. Scorpio is simply too intense for Taurus, who loves cozy consistency, and since these signs are both jealous types, they'll have to work extremely hard to maintain trust in a relationship.
