Tegan Marie’s ‘I Know How to Make a Boy Cry’ Video Is Out Now and We Love It

Leave it to Tegan Marie to end the week on a high note!

Earlier this month, the country cutie released her empowering new song— "I Know How to Make a Boy Cry"—and now we've got an equally awesome music video to go with it.

The video, which clocks in at just over three and a half minutes long, premieres today, June 29, across CMT, the 24/7 digital music channel CMT Music and CMT.com, and you can also watch it above.

In addition to blowing us away with her amazing vocals, the video features Tegan playing the guitar, dancing and showing all the boys who's boss.

Basically, there's nothing she can't do.

The video serves as a tip of the hat to Elvis Presley's iconic 1968 Comeback Special. However, the self-worth anthem about inner strength and holding your head high when love turns sour flips the narrative on its head. Instead of shedding tears over a boy, Tegan is the one making the boys cry.

"I just love Elvis, that's about the size of it," Tegan says about the inspiration behind her music video. "I recently visited Graceland and it all just clicked. I got to understand him more, beyond the music."
