Everything You Wanted to Know About Canadian Rock Band The Beaches
If you love anthemic, playful and evocative rock music, you have to know Canadian band The Beaches.
The exciting rock quartet is perhaps best known for their viral hit "Blame Brett," and made a big splash over the weekend, opening the first day of Lollapalooza. Consisting of Jordan and Kylie Miller, Leandra Earl and Eliza Enman McDaniel, the group deserves all of the praise and accolades they've been receiving, from two Juno Awards to recognition from famous fans, including Demi Lovato and Elton John. They've even opened for both The Rolling Stones to Foo Fighters. The Beaches is dropping their sophomore album, Blame My Ex, in September, followed by a tour of the album in October, and if you're as excited as we are, keep reading to discover everything the band shared with us as our Woman Crush Wednesdays.

"Which I am aware is much more embarrassing of a pick than, say, Spotify, but I don't care. I listen to this thing every minute that I can. When I go to sleep, she is playing. When I am in the van with my band, she is playing. When I am on a date, she is sometimes playing. I could not live without her."

"I want to say Samantha Jones in Seasons 1 and 2 of SATC, but I don't think her look would really jive with the new Beaches songs. So I will instead go with Daria, or Buffy the vampire slayer (the show, not the film)."

At one point, I even bought a wedding dress (from England, that I somehow managed to stuff in my carry-on luggage). Also I am not engaged, and never have been. My recent collecting obsession has been Cars related. I have three Lightning McQueen cars, a Lightning McQueen hat, a Lightning McQueen sticker book, a Lightning McQueen jersey and a Lightning McQueen beach ball."
