The Most Bewitching Dark Lipsticks for Fall

During the first half of the year, we never wear vibrant lipsticks. It's a lot of nude and sheer shades. If you catch us on a good day, you may see us in red. So, to say our craving for a deep lippie has been brewing inside for a long time is a severe understatement.

With October finally here, we're ready to break out the darkest lipsticks we own, and this year, we might even add a few new ones to our collection. Below, find a few of the ones we currently love or plan to test out in the near future.

Sephora Collection #LIPSTORIES Natural Wonders Lipstick in Undisturbed: Currently on Sale for $5

The Sephora Collection makeup line is criminally underrated. Their #LIPSTORIES Lipstick, in particular, has become one of our most used because of its solid and long-lasting color payoff, and this chocolate brown shade screams fall. Besides, can you beat $5?

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Va Va Violet: $6.48

We're not usually the types of people who wear purple lipstick, but there's something about the weather that brings out a new side of us. This violet swatch from Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipstick makes us feel like the head witch in charge. It's also super moisturizing—which we'll need as the weather gets cooler.

e.l.f. cosmetics O FACE Satin Lipstick in All Night: $9

Say what you want, but we love black lipstick. Maybe not for us, but for you, reader. It looks phenomenal on avant-garde makeup looks and fun Halloween ones. If you're on the fence on whether it's for you, it's only $9. We'll let you know, even if you don't like the shade, this e.l.f. lipstick has one of the richest, creamiest formulas we've used.

r.e.m. beauty On Your Collar Classic Lipstick in Cabernet: $9.50

Over the past few months, r.e.m. beauty has become one of our most-used celebrity-branded makeup companies. Ariana Grande has been making all the innovative moves we need. With On Your Collar, her sleek packaging allows extra precision during application, and this juicy berry red color just happens to be perfect for the season.

Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey: $24

If you're like us, you pretty much only wear sheer lipsticks. That said, we still love a darker shade, which is why Clinique's Almost Lipstick in Black Honey has been a godsend. It's very buildable and versatile—it can look like a beautiful wash of color by itself, or you can transform another lipstick by topping it with this one.

Natasha Denona I Need a Nude Lipstick in Lala: $27

Whenever you buy Natasha Denona, you're in for a luxurious experience. Each of her products has some of the most high-quality packaging, and the finish is a dream come true. I Need a Nude is described as having a "weightless" feel, similar to a balm, and it's true. We can hardly articulate how magical it feels to have a rich shade that feels as comfortable as your daily Chapstick.

Chanel Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour in Dilemme: $45

Everyone needs to own a Chanel lipstick during their lifetime. Sorry, we don't make the rules. It's such a timeless product, from its case to its formula. We're inclined to purchase a seasonal shade like Dilemme to savor it for our most special occasions.
