5 Dewy Foundations to Give You a Flawless, Radiant Glow

As someone with combination skin, finding products that work well for me can be a challenge. Matte foundations might accentuate my dry patches, but dewy foundations might make my T-zone oily.

Over the past few months, I've figured out a game-changer: makeup with skincare. Regardless of the finish, the skin sits much better on my skin and flawlessly lasts all day—and now, I can truly appreciate wearing foundation.

This summer, I've been living my happy, no-makeup makeup lifestyle with dewy foundations. Below, find five foundations that worked well on my sensitive, combination and acne-prone skin.

Maybelline Fit Me Dewy + Smooth Foundation: $9.99

If you don't want to spend a lot of money on foundation, the Maybelline Fit Me line is your best bet. This product is just as good as the high-end brands. It does give your skin that radiant, sunkissed finish, and it doesn't feel cakey. Maybelline's foundations are fragrance-free and non-comedogenic, so they won't clog your pores or irritate your skin.

ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Hydrating Foundation: $16

Hyaluronic acid is my favorite ingredient because it hydrates my dry areas and reduces oil production in my T-zone, so I was very excited to see ColourPop release a hyaluronic acid-infused foundation.

Whenever I wear this foundation, it feels like I'm applying my favorite serum because it's so lightweight, despite having medium coverage. It's also one of the foundations that give me that glass skin effect without using highlighter.

Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint: $26

I've worked really hard to have clear skin, so there are a few days where I don't want to wear a full coverage foundation. That's when I pull out one of my favorite products of all time, the Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint.

It's one of the most lightweight, breathable "foundations" I've ever worn—it doesn't feel like I'm wearing anything on my skin. And because it's so light, it just evens my skin and gives a beautiful glow. This product is also made with glycerin, which has been one of the leading ingredients in clearing my skin.

Saie Slip Tint Tinted Moisturizer SPF 35 Sunscreen: $36

Usually, I feel like I have a thick layer of skin on my face when I wear foundation and sunscreen, so I prefer to use a tinted moisturizer with SPF. One of the best ones that I've used is the Saie. I love the luxurious texture, and because it leans on the oilier side, it works well on the unfortunate summer days when I'm extra dry.

NARS Light Reflecting Advanced Skincare Foundation: $50

The only foundation I think is worth more than $50 is the NARS Light Reflecting Advanced Skincare. This product gives everyone a dreamy glow that is almost difficult to explain. Somehow, it's matte and dewy, but it only makes you shimmer in all the right places. It also has the most lush texture I've ever felt—it's almost velvety. And most importantly, it has skincare to improve your skin's clarity and repair damaged barriers.
