These Are the Halloween Amusement Park Events Happening in 2024

Horror lovers, it's our time to shine. Halloween is right around the corner.

While we love turning on a scary movie and attending our local haunted houses, there is one immersive activity we can't forget: the Halloween transformation of our favorite amusement parks.

It's like a mega-sized haunted house. The attractions might get festive decor. You'll probably find limited-edition eats at the snack bar. And you'll probably see iconic monsters and villains meandering through the park.

It sounds like fun, right? Below, discover all the Halloween takeovers you can find around the country to appreciate this upcoming spooky season.

Fright Fest — Six Flags

This year's Fright Fest might be the most thrilling yet. You'll enter haunted houses inspired by beloved series like Stranger Things, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Saw. As usual, you'll also see different scare actors ready to catch you (and maybe chase you) when the sun begins to set. Beware!

Halloween Horror Nights — Universal Studios

Has anyone else been dreaming of going to Halloween Horror Nights for years? Sadly, we probably won't make it—again. We'll live vicariously through anyone who will walk through the Inside, Ghostbusters and A Quiet Place haunted houses. And while Harry Potter or The Mummy aren't inherently scary, they always hit differently during this scary season.

Howl-O-Scream — Busch Gardens

If this name means anything, you'll be on the edge of your seat. Busch Gardens has some exciting new additions underway, like their Alice in Wonderland-themed house. You'll also see the return of familiar favorites, like D.H. Baggum's Circus of Fear. And while you're between haunted houses and roller coasters, you can take a pit stop at the spooky circus for live entertainment.

Knott's Scary Farm — Knott's Berry Farm

Are you searching for something low-key? You'll enjoy Knott's Scary Farm. But don't be deceived—just because it's a smaller park doesn't mean the thrills won't be any less. Arguably, they offer some of the most intense spooks. They have a haunted maze (which is too much, even for us) and plenty of hair-raising shows and scare zones.

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party — Disney World

If you love Halloween but aren't into jumpscares and spooky stories, consider taking a trip to Orland to Mickey's Not-so-Scary Halloween Party. You'll see all your classic childhood characters dressed in Halloween outfits alongside attraction re-themes. One of our favorite parts about Disney is its food, and we're sure this upcoming season will bring plenty of great items.
