Our Favorite Looks From the MTV Video Music Awards 2023

And just like that, the MTV Video Music Videos came and went. It was an action-packed night with iconic appearances from NSYNC, Shakira, Taylor Swift and more, and eventual performances—who else loved how Olivia Rodrigo purposely had a stage "malfunction" in an ode to the
"vampire" music video?

But beyond the music, one of our favorite parts about tuning into music's most entertaining nights is seeing the fashion. Below, find a few of our favorite looks from the event.

Taylor Swift

There has never been a red carpet that Taylor Swift has disappointed us on. Taylor stepped into the VMAs wearing a fitted black dress with gold accents. All that gold was definitely an omen to her sweeping night—she took home nine Moonmen, including the coveted Video of the Year, Artist of the Year and Album of the Year awards.

Sienna Leone

We couldn't create a best-dressed list without including Sweety High's very own Sienna Leone! Sienna came dressed to the night with a glittery sequined dress—and made an even bigger statement with feathers. We love her Nadine MERABI dress and shoes by Britt Netta, as well as her Euphoria-purple iridescent eyeshadow.

Olivia Rodrigo

Some people don't like Olivia Rodrigo's low-key red carpet looks, but we think they look effortlessly beautiful. The shimmering disco ball dress is a statement in and of itself—it doesn't need accessories or dramatic makeup. Olivia always keeps it simple with a sleek, straight hairstyle, which helps the dress shine even more.

Nicki Minaj

With Pink Friday 2 underway, Nicki Minaj had to arrive in a baby pink ensemble, and we're obsessed with it. This wedding-esque dress accentuates Nicki's shape in all the best places, and the lace detailing is very classy. Nicki owns the color pink.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER

TOMORROW X TOGETHER might be one of the only groups in the industry who can make suits interesting because they're willing to play with concepts and silhouettes. This time around, Yeonjun, Beomgyu and Taehyun wore oversized suits but still looked polished because they framed their shoulders well. Soobin and Hueningkai added flair to the group by spicing their outfits up with chunky boots and fun patterns and materials.

Demi Lovato

Can we all agree that Demi Lovato's rock era is the best thing they have ever done? Besides the fact their acrobatic vocals are perfect for hard-hitting rock music, their edgy looks complement them so well. Demi has somehow managed to be the only person who doesn't look ridiculous in dramatically oversized clothing (probably because it's tailored to fit their height), and their makeup is both bold and clean.

Chloe Bailey

With MTV honoring NSYNC at this year's show, it was a Y2K night, and Chloe Bailey took the aesthetic to heart. Reminiscent of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake's Canadian tuxedo, Chloe sported a blue patchwork dress and scarf. The dark velvet heels tied the whole look together.

Madelyn Cline

Madelyn Cline always has a sunkissed, beachy appearance, thanks to her golden-tanned skin and caramel balayage hair. She knows how to lean into it because her rose-gold dress rounds off all her natural assets. And, of course, we don't think we've ever seen Madelyn without flawless makeup.
