5 Shows and Movies You MUST Watch If You Love Sydney Sweeney

We can all agree the past couple of years have been a Sydney Sweeney takeover. It's nowhere near ending because 2024 is about to be booked and busy with tons of new films. But first, she'll close out 2023 with her role in Sony and Columbia Pictures'  Anyone But You alongside Glen Powell.

While you continue to count down the days until the movie hits theaters on Dec. 22,  revisit some of Sydney's most iconic roles yet.

Euphoria

There's no better place to begin than with the series that gave Sydney her breakout role, Euphoria. Sydney plays Cassie Howard, one of Maddy's (Alexa Demie) closest friends and the sister of Rue's (Zendaya) ex-best friend Lexi (Maude Apatow). We all discovered how great of an actress she is from those intense scenes from the second season.

The White Lotus

Sydney also made quite the mark on the first season of The White Lotus in 2021. This HBO comedy series follows the story of a resort chain that seems luxurious and relaxing on the outside but has multiple dark secrets. You'll have to watch to uncover the truth behind Sydney's character, Olivia, who is the daughter of a CFO staying at the hotel.

The Handmaid's Tale

Before we had Euphoria or heard about Anyone But You, Sydney was in the adaptation of The Handmaid's Tale. She stars as Eden, a young girl forced to marry an older man and eventually questioned on the grounds of infidelity. It's a gut-wrenching role that will have you questioning our real-life society.

Madame Web — Feb. 14, 2024

It's official. Sydney is a Marvel hero. Next Valentine's Day, she will debut as Spider-Woman in Madame Web. Oh, and you might want to revisit the rest of Sony's Spider-Man films to understand the scope of this giant multiverse of madness.

Anyone But You — Dec. 22, 2023

As the type of people who love all fake dating and enemies-to-lovers tropes, we knew Anyone But You would be right up our alley. In this anticipated release, Sydney and her co-star, Glen, join forces in a "relationship" to achieve their individual goals. Who knows—maybe those two dreams of theirs will fade away once they realize what's in front of them.
