5 Movies That Deserve a Ride at the Disney Parks

As much as we love a trip to Disney World or Disneyland, we must admit there are some additions we'd love to see to the park. After all, so many classic films receive no attention!

Below, discover five iconic Disney movies that somehow don't have the attraction they deserve in Anaheim or Orlando.

Encanto

Considering Encanto was one of 2021's monumental film releases, we're surprised we don't see more of it in the parks. We might see Mirabel dancing through the park, but why is there no store, restaurant or ride to match? Thankfully, Disney has announced an attraction that will come to Animal Kingdom in the next few years. Now, hopefully, it's deserved—imagine a thrill-seeking adventure as you search for Bruno!

Inside Out

Sure, Disneyland has the Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, but it is one of the most underwhelming rides in the park. If Riley is anything like us, her emotions are up and down all the time. We need a ride that matches the intensity of a mood swing, and we still would love a piece of Inside Out at Disney World. At least the film receives its flowers with delicious snacks.

The Lion King

Considering The Lion King is one of the most beloved movies in Disney history, there is no reason why this shouldn't have an attraction. How can you have Animal Kingdom without Simba? We could have an Indiana Jones-style ride as we safari through the Africa, or a slow-moving boat ride to honor the many scenes of the film.

Tangled

We can all agree that Tangled might be the most underrated film at Disney. Almost every movie has had a confirmed live-action adaptation or a presence at the park. Over a decade after its release, there is no sign of Tangled receiving a ride in the United States. We guess that calls for a trip to Tokyo DisneySea. In the meantime, we'll have to make peace with the Tangled bathrooms.

Zootopia

When we thought Zootopia would never get a sequel, Disney finally came through with the announcement of the film arriving in 2025. Now, we'd like to see even more of Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde in the form of an amusement park ride. Shanghai Disney is blessed with one, and we wouldn't be disappointed to see a similar race through Zootopia stateside.
